Nate and Liz met in 2020 during Liz’s senior year of nursing school and the beginning of Nate’s career in the fire service. What started as a first date in Portsmouth, NH quickly turned into something neither of them expected. They bonded over unforgettable meals, spontaneous date days, and a shared love for travel—skiing mountain slopes, soaking up beach days, enjoying spa days, exploring new cities, and finding joy in both grand adventures and quiet moments. No matter where they were, their favorite place was always together.

The proposal was nothing short of amazing. Nate planned a surprise weekend getaway to Montreal, filled with incredible restaurants, fun shows, hidden speakeasies, spa days, and endless exploring. One evening, Nate took Liz to a beautiful historic cocktail bar inside a five-star hotel. Under the guise of a hotel tour, the concierge led Liz into a private room. As she stepped inside, she was greeted by rose petals covering the floor and a guitarist singing Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”—the very song that was playing when Nate first said “I love you.”
Confused and emotional, Liz turned around to see Nate down on one knee. Completely in shock, all she could manage to say was “Oh my God” over and over—until, finally, she said “YES!” The night continued with a private five-course dinner on the balcony of the suite where they would be staying, filled with tears, champagne, incredible food, and overwhelming excitement for the future.
What began as a young romance has grown into a lifelong partnership built on love, adventure, and unwavering support. Nate and Liz are so grateful for every memory that led them here and cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people they love most.
