I'm going to take you back to where it all began, January 2022. A few girlfriends and I (shout out to AM) made a bet to go one date in the month of January or you owe the others a bottle of wine. Those of you who know me recognize my competitiveness immediately overtook and I downloaded a dating app (Hinge).

On January 19, 2022 I received a message from Daniel in response to my profile stating, "Very excited to chat with the most lovable, spunky, fun person around lol." I was immediately captivated, and we spoke non-stop for days. I always thought Daniel had great style, and even told him how much I loved one of his plaid shirts in his profile picture.

January 25, 2022, Daniel asked me out on our first date to Geist at 7PM. Daniel met me at my apartment and we walked together to the restaurant. The tables at the restaurant were about 4 inches apart, nonetheless, we decided to talk about everything under the sun. We discussed everything you're "not" supposed to talk about on a first date; marriage, children, politics and religion. We continued to chat non-stop and with a long-awaited breath Daniel asked me on our second date. Daniel once again came to pick me up at my apartment, (wearing my favorite shirt from the profile picture). The second I saw him all reservations subsided and I knew he was the one.

About one week later, we went to TopGolf and I mustered up the courage to ask for a picture (please see above) since everyone was already asking to see him. We made plans for the next day so that I could meet Theo.

Daniel never went back home after that evening. Approximately 2 weeks in, Daniel invited me to come home for his birthday to meet his family. Around the same time, we bought tickets to a family friends wedding in California where Daniel would then meet my family.

On May 1, 2022, my lease was up, and we decided I would move into Daniel's house. To our surprise, no one batted an eye when we shared this news as all understood, because it just made sense.

We moved quickly, but it's true when they say, "when you know, you know." From our second date, I knew Daniel was the one for me, my souls mate, my penguin, love of my whole life, favorite person in the entire world.

Fast forward to June 30, 2023; I came home like any other Friday, though I was met with Daniel wearing my favorite plaid shirt standing on a bed of roses, string lights surrounding the room, our song playing (Beyond by Leon Bridges), with forever & beyond 6.30.2023 on our letter board. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said YES! We celebrated that whole weekend and haven't stopped celebrating our love and fortune of finding one another.
