Nearly ten years ago Alex met Elizabeth through his Aunt Jennifer and Elizabeth's father, Steve. Fate did not work in Alex's favor until October 26, 2017. He threw a shot in the dark and asked Elizabeth on a date via her Instagram DM. Alex took Elizabeth on the most adventurous first date. It was filled with some of her favorite things: putt-putt (he won), popcorn and a movie, and ice cream. The two quickly fell in love. The next three and a half years were filled with many more adventures. They have celebrated many engagements and marriages among their friends and families. They also bought a camper so they can go explore with their beloved fur baby, Rylee. {Update: they bought Rylee a yard! Thankfully, the yard comes with a cute little house for the humans.}

On June 27, 2020, Alex decided to begin their biggest adventure yet. He took Elizabeth to the Brookgreen Gardens Summer Lights Festival. This perfect summer evening was also filled with some of Elizabeth's favorite things: her family and a light festival at Brookgreen. While they were surrounded by the beautiful lights and the love of her family, Alex asked Elizabeth to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course, she said "Yes!"
