A Baja & Some Wawa 

Lake Hopatcong is where Claudio always loved to spend his days. He’s owned many “water toys” and could be spotted out there often with friends enjoying a cold one in Byram Cove, catching a tan, or wasting gas by zipping around.    What he didn’t know was that was where he would meet the love if his life there a few years later… and by a few I mean 7.    The couple owe a thank you to their friends for introducing them. Their paths probably crossed many times, but never knew it.    Biz spent her summers, starting in 2021, working at marinas on Lake Hopatcong. Her first job was pumping gas at the marina that connects the North and South ends of the lake. Connecting those two sides is a bridge. With a left side and a right side. She spent many hours watching boats go through that bridge. Again, little did she know, that would be where she was going to meet the love of her life.    After pumping gas for a few years, she moved jobs to a different marina, this time driving boats around the lake. Later in the evening on April of 2023 she was heading back to her marina on the North end of the lake after taking one of the fleet boats on a water test. It just so happened that Claudio too was heading back to his marina on the South side. Passing each other through the bridge Biz quickly noticed a familiar friend on his boat. She smiled and waved and story has it that everybody on that boat was wondering about the girl in the hot pink bikini driving the boat.   But time went on and the two didn’t cross paths again for a while, until one day in Byram Cove. Biz was driving around on her day off when those same friends noticed her, waving her over to tie up to this little white Baja. Claudio sprung up out of his seat to fling out every fender he could muster up. What he didn’t know was Biz could parallel park that thing with her eyes shut. He was panicking asking his friends to reach out and help her to get close without crashing.  *Spoiler: Biz did in fact not hit his boat and made him very nervous with the speed she did it at.    One night, Biz was invited to Mason Street (a local popular bar on the lake) by the friends. She was secretly admiring Claudio all night; everyone who knows him knows he can be completely oblivious sometimes, this was one of those times. As the night ended they both went their separate ways but continued to text allllll night long. Claudio was staying the night at a friend’s house on the lake. He complained about how hungry he was and that he desperately wanted a wawa chicken sandwich. Biz had asked a serious of questions to get him to describe exactly how he liked his sandwich down to the cheese (again, oblivious). In an effort to make a move (obviously the way to an Italian mans heart is his stomach) she doordashes him this sandwich. She’s going back and forth trying to keep him awake long enough for it to be delivered. Once delivered, he realizes she sent the sandwich.    It is only then that Claudio clues her in that HE HAD JUST RETURNED FROM WAWA BECAUSE HE WAS GETTING THE SANDWICH ALREADY!!    This is when he finally started to realize that the feelings were mutual both ways.   A few days later he invites her out on his boat. She lives just around the corner from where he had his boat docked. The two head out to Byram Cove to hang out and swim for a bit before the sun went down (July at this point). She said “she didn’t know how to drive a boat with trim tabs like his” and wanted her to teach him. Little did he know, she just didn’t want to intimidate him because she in fact, could drive that boat better than he could.    After some swimming, giggling, and MANY personal questions- the two decide to take a night ride to Mason Street. Approaching the docks, Claudio said he could take it from there. Biz insisted that she at least tries to park the boat before giving it up to him. Hesitantly, he agrees. She starts spinning the boat around backwards. Confused he asked her “where the f*** are you going!?” She smiled and said “to the bar of course silly”. He proceeded to tell her “even I can’t back this boat this boat in!” To make him nervous she says “I’ve never done this before! Hope I make it!!”  *Spoiler- she did in fact make it into the slip backwards. Perfectly.    The two go on many dates and enjoy each other’s company, making it official September 14th, 2023.    Within the year, they moved in together, bought a house together, adopted two corgis, and got engaged.    They say when you know you know. It has been clear from day one these two belong together.

Known as Jules! She is the younger sister of the bride. Enjoys cats, drinking, and apparently singing (when drinking).

Known as Teeny! College best friend to the bride. She has seen it all! Lacrosse, 313 trap house, auntie to Sailor, & many drunk nights. A true icon.

Christine Manser

Known as Fil! Older brother to the Groom. Fil is apparently to blame for the groom’s claustrophobia. 

Filippo Masano

Known as Johnny (or “Johnny2hottie”). Johnny is always down for a good night of shenanigans and drinking! (But make sure there’s girls!!) His actual bff is a Seadoo Spark. We have picture proof of his marriage, but no ring to show. 

Johnathan Ribardo

College bestie to the bride! Considered “the baby” of the college house. Toss up between  what shes torn more of- boys hearts or her ACL’s. 

Brooke Bode

Known as Linds! Sister-in-law to the groom & mommy of Flower girl Giulia and Ring Bearer Frankie! And she is soon to be the best “bonus older sister” to the bride! 

Lindsay Masano

Known as Dee! Enjoys snuggling with her dog Beau, rooting for the Giants (Ew), and is always down to bully the groom. One of her favorite lines is “Shut up Claw!”

D’Anna Avola

Known for having the cutest dog Murphy and helping the bride be a cricut wizard!

*Publicly* announces she’s a Steelers fan, but we all know she’s a fan of the Birds. Go Birds!!

Jess Condon

Known for keeping the groom in place and loving him like he’s an annoying little brother. Most common line to the bride is “How the hell do you put up him?!?”

Nicole Martins

Enjoys going out drinking or watching people work on his car. Favorite question is “How’s the pizza?” Known for having a fast car; so fast as a matter of fact, legend has it that’s how he lost his hair.

Known as Papi! His most common line to the groom is “DON’T START WITH ME CLAUDIO!” (Yes in all caps just like that)

Known as Miggy or Mig Dawg! Enjoys flirting with the groom more than the bride. His most common line to the groom is “Dude shut up, you’re ugly!”

Cousin to the bride; lovingly known as “Frankie”. She enjoys nature, science, art, her animals, and is one of the kindest souls to ever walk the earth. She is most likely to hand you a glow stick if she sees you empty handed on the dance floor! She is the bride’s good luck charm by being her something blue!

Cousin to the bride! Enjoys Bluey, softball, the beach and her Uncle Jimmy! Most likely to dance the whole night away! Fun fact, she is 20 years apart from the bride!

Known as Frank! Enjoys working on cars with his son, looking through photos of Italy, and hanging out with his grand kids. 

Known as Sandy Cheeks! Loves getting pet by cousin Giulia, boat rides, snuggling with the groom on the couch, and is the bravest girl until daddy pulls out the leaf blower. Then it’s game over. Known as “the dog claudio wanted”, but she enjoys selectively not listening to him.

Known as Teeks! A total mommy’s girl, enjoys sleeping all day, being at mom’s hip all day (and being co captain on her lap when on the boat), and debatably snores louder than the groom- which is a tough thing to do.

Known as Sailboat, Saily, & boog woogie! Sailor is a Centenary legend and enjoyed wreaking havoc on the brides college house. Saily LOVES water & boating and will never miss an opportunity to make you nervous with his boldness. Saily now lives with bride’s previous college sports coach and they enjoy adventuring together.
