What should I wear?
We recommend wearing business casual attire. It will be mid October, so the temperatures in the mountains can range from 40-70 degrees, so please dress accordingly! The ceremony will be on the hill overlooking the winery and the reception will take place inside the barn.
Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony and reception will be held on the Christian Klay Winery property. The ceremony will be on the top of the hill overlooking the beautiful surrounding landscape of MD, WV, and PA. There will be a hayride that will take you and your guests up to the ceremony location.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
The bride and groom request that guests put away cell phones, cameras, and any other devices in order for them to be present in the moment.
Where is the reception?
The ceremony and reception will be held on the Christian Klay Winery property. The reception will be in the white barn at the entrance of the property.
Where do I park?
There is a large gravel parking lot next to the barn on the Christian Klay Winery property. This is where you will board the hayride that will take you to the ceremony location.
You may leave your vehicle overnight in this lot if you wish to use the charter bus transportation. The venue manager asks that you pick up your vehicle before 11:00 am the next day, Sunday 10/20.
What time should we arrive?
Guests should arrive at the venue at around 2:15 pm. There will one hayride that will transport guests from the parking lot to the ceremony location. The hayride will leave the parking lot at 2:30 pm and is the only way to transport up to the ceremony. Please arrive at the venue with enough time to park and embark on the wagon.
What happens between the ceremony and reception?
Guests will travel down from the ceremony to the barn where the reception will take place. Here, there will be fresh hors d'oeuvres and alcoholic refreshments at the bar.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Kindly RSVP on this website by September 20th using the "RSVP" tab. Just enter your name and your party should appear.
Have you reserved hotel room blocks?
Hotel room blocks are reserved at The Historic Summit Inn and The Ohiopyle Suites, both located approximately 10-15 minutes from the venue. Please visit the "Travel" tab for more information, including rates and block codes.
What food will be served and what if I have dietary restrictions?
The dinner will be a buffet style meal with catered barbeque from our favorite restaurant in Farmington, The Stone House Inn. The spread includes several vegetarian options.
What time does the reception end?
The reception ends at 10:00 pm. There will be transportation via a charter bus that will take guests from the venue to the town of Ohiopyle and The Historic Summit Inn. Ubers are not readily available in this area, so we are offering transportation for a safe travel back to your hotel room. Please refer to the "Travel" tab for more details.
Where are the bride and groom registered?
We are registered on Amazon/Target and you can find our list on the "Registry" tab. We also have a cash fund for our new home if you wish to contribute.
