Maddie and Elizabeth have been friends for 20 years. Maddie has been through all the stages of life with Elizabeth, including when she met Diego and all the events that lead up to now! Fun fact, Elizabeth is Maddie’s confirmation sponsor!!

Hope is one of Elizabeth’s longest friends! Hope has always been a consistent friend who brings so much love and laughter. From sleepovers, choreographed dances, makeup nights, Elizabeth is blessed to have Hope be with her for this next stage of life!

Andrea is Elizabeth’s future sister in law! Elizabeth has always wanted a sister, and she truly hit the jackpot with this one! Andrea is so kind, caring, and her and Elizabeth share a lot in common starting with their love of One Direction.

Lauren and Elizabeth became fast friends, which was a big working of God. Both Lauren and Elizabeth were in the same sorority sophomore year and instantly clicked. Not only did their social life look similar, but they had the same exact school schedule! On top of being roomies, they spent 24/7 with each other- literally!

Neely and Elizabeth have been friends since the awkward stages of elementary school, except Neely didn’t have an awkward phase. Neely has always been a creative, loving, and loyal friend. Even after spending time in different continents, Neely and Elizabeth can always pick up right where they left off.

Francelia is Elizabeth’s cousin who truly embodies the meaning of family. Francelia is the definition of a creative soul, she always finds a fun way to do something and cares for all those she encounters. Francelia and Elizabeth have grown from the kids table to the adult table, figuratively and literally, together. Fun fact, Francelia knew Diego before Elizabeth did!

Sarah is one of Elizabeth’s college friends, but more than that- she’s Elizabeth’s little in their sorority. Sarah and Elizabeth instantly clicked and Sarah has been the sweetest hype woman all throughout college. Elizabeth is beyond excited they both get to go through their bridal seasons together as Sarah gets married in July!

Gigi and Elizabeth go all the way back to elementary school days where they would attend Sunday School together. Gigi and Elizabeth stayed friends throughout the years, and even attended the same ACTS retreat that Elizabeth and Diego met at!

Annaliese and Elizabeth were brought together by Diego. Diego and Annaliese went to school together and was the first person to open her arms and welcome Elizabeth in the friend group when she attended Junior Prom. Annaliese is a caring friend who is a true testament to God’s love.

Paul & Diego have been friends since 3rd grade, and share the same birthday. Diego & Paul have been having joint birthday parties since they were 11 years old. They've been there for each other through good times and through bad, through sickness and through health... Paul is an example of temperance and fortitude for Diego. When the going gets tough, Paul is always there serving both as an example and as a friend who will walk with you every step of the way. He prioritizes forgiveness, and regards no one as lower than himself.

Cristian is the brother of the groom. Cristian has been a source of inspiration and wisdom to Diego for all of his life. Cristian is a trailblazer, constantly taking the road less traveled and trying new things so that Diego can comfortably navigate through life without the fear of the unknown. They often bond over video games, movies, and glasses of whiskey.

Beto is a first cousin of Diego. Much like Cristian, Beto has taught and continues to teach Diego a lot about life: how to treat people, the value of hard work, the inherent dignity belonging to every person, how to hunt, and how to work cattle. Beto is a cousin in name only, consistently acting as Diego's second older brother in all the best ways.

John is Elizabeth's younger brother, and the best younger brother Diego could have ever asked for. John's life is not devoted to himself, but, rather, devoted to those around him and to glorifying God. John has invited Diego into his personal and family life and accepted him as a brother of his own. "The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:34

Andrew, more affectionately known as AP, is the embodiment of friendship and fraternal correction for Diego. They were in the same fraternity at UT Austin, the Texas Wranglers. During the most challenging time of his life, AP was there to literally push him up the Austin hills during long runs, and figuratively lift up his mind and spirit with jokes and encouraging words. When Diego begins to wander afar, AP never fails to wrangle him back to the good and virtuous path.

Ben & Diego attended many Catholic retreats together, eventually co-directing one of those retreats, along with bridesmaid Annaliese Ramos. When Diego took Elizabeth to junior prom, it was Ben and the Stiles family who organized the group activities and hosted us in their home for the afterparty. Ben is a true brother in Christ, and his loyalty and love for others, visible for all to see, is surely a result of his wonderful familial upbringing and the Catholic values he holds so dear.

Kyte has served as a role model for Diego since they met during freshman year of high school. Kyte and Diego led retreats together and were football teammates. While Diego led the way for Kyte as a lineman blocking for his running back, Kyte led the way for Diego when it came to developing good character. It is because of Kyte that Diego is able to stand up for what he knows to be true without fear of consequence. Most notably, Kyte totes the title of President of the LizLee Fan Club.

Will & Diego met through Kyte's introduction, and in short order became brothers to each other as they keep each other walking in the path of virtue. Will has never let friendship be defined by physical proximity or frequency of visits. Will is an example of how to maintain relationships even through difficult circumstances. He is a pillar of humility and grace despite his accomplishments in life.

Diego and Daniel met in third grade, and have since been great friends. They went on their first ACTS retreat together in 2016, and together poured themselves out into serving others on numerous future ACTS retreats. Daniel strives for sainthood and reminds all of us that we too ought to seek nothing but the Lord. Daniel is a sure and strong servant of the Lord, and in turn, a servant of others.

Brandon and Diego met in kindergarten, and have matured together physically just as much as they have matured together in spirituality and personality. Brandon is a scholar and an introspective thinker with an unwavering love for the world around him. Brandon's perspective inspires Diego to pray without ceasing and to always seek out knowledge and advice.

Preston and Diego also met in kindergarten, and Preston's love for his friends has never faltered. Preston does not let the world around him affect his mood, throw him off course, or stop him from reaching his goals. He lives life with a constant smile and is always able to laugh things off. Preston walks closely with Jesus, and his life is a reflection of the joy that comes from that.

Living on the offensive line together, Andy taught Diego the value of loyalty and how to live your life for the sake of others. Andy constantly sacrifices for others who are in need of help. The most important lesson Diego learned from Andy is how to stick to your decisions and see them through. Andy is a source of stability for those around him, and a staunch supporter of those he loves.

August and Diego served as President and Vice President of Texas Wranglers together. August questions everything, leaves no stone unturned, and is an avid debater. It was from August that Diego learned the values of considering all sides of every issue, being able to defend your beliefs in a debate, and being a good steward of the people you are tasked with leading and bringing up.
