Our Story

God works in ways that are unexpected, yet beautiful and life changing all at the same time. Even the decisions we make that seem so small, end up making a huge difference in our lives.

Growing up, both of our families attended the same parish. They were the big family on the other side of the church. We didn’t formally meet until early in the morning on Justin’s birthday getting ready to go to a Steubenville youth conference. We made the trip, and it wasn’t really until the drive home that we began to talk. We laughed and talked the whole 6-hour drive home.

(Beth): “All I can remember thinking was how he had a nice smile, and his laughter was contagious. Little did I know, I had just met my future husband.”

(Justin): “Usually when I meet someone for the first time it takes me a little bit to be myself, laughing and having fun but when I met Beth, it didn’t take long at all. It was the best birthday gift I have ever had.”

Soon after this trip we talked more and got to know each other better. As time went on, we became the best of friends. Who better to ask to go to your senior prom than your best friend right? Well, it didn’t last very long because Justin ended up asking to make it official only a few days before prom night, starting our journey together.

We were each other’s first love, and quickly became each other’s only love. We have been so blessed to have had a clear view of our relationship. Even from the beginning we could see a forever together. God put such peace in our hearts when we were together. It was not too long after we had started dating that we first talked about getting married and since that day, we have talked about it ever since. Now it is all unfolding before our eyes, and we could not be more excited about all that is to come.

Throughout the past five years we have only gotten closer to one another and continued to prepare for our future together. On July 4th, 2022, Justin fulfilled his dream of proposing on Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. It was our first time going to Pittsburgh without a big game to go to or event to see, just to explore the city and maybe catch a baseball game.

(Beth): “At least that’s what I thought. We headed up the mountain and stood there staring at the beautiful overview of the city of Pittsburgh, a place dear to our hearts. Eventually, the area cleared, and we had the whole place to ourselves.

At that point he gave me a big hug and turned me around to see him down on one knee asking me to marry him. The greatest day of my life so far knowing that I really do get to marry my best friend.”

(Justin): “I always knew I wanted to propose to the love of my life on top of the greatest city in the world. I always thought I would be nervous, but it was the easiest thing I have ever done. I knew from that moment I would spend the rest of my life with my best friend.”

Our wedding day will be here before we know it and we could not be more excited to start the rest of our lives together. To live out God’s Will for our lives through the good, the bad, and everything in between. We are so blessed to have such great support from our family and friends and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone soon!
