How can I RSVP?
You can RSVP on here, through our wedding website. Please click on the RSVP tab.
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP no later than 14th June 2024.
What are the addresses of the Ceremony and Reception.
We're holding our wedding over two seperate venues.
Our Ceremony begins at 3pm at
St Mary's Church
Darley Lane
Derby
DE1 3AX.
Our reception will follow at 4.30pm at
The Rivermill
Darley Abbey
Derby
DE22 1DZ
What time does the Ceremony start? Is there a time gap between the Ceremony and Reception?
Our Ceremony starts at 3pm.
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early.
The bridal party will be arriving at 2.50pm and The Bride at 2.55pm for a 3pm start.
If you arrive early you can listen to the wonderful music by The Northern String Quartet and admire the beauty of St Marys Church.
The Ceremony is appox 30 minutes long.
The reception starts at 4.30pm. This gives us plenty of time for some group photographs outside of the Church and time for our guests to make their way over to The Rivermill. Don't worry if you get there early... You'll just be able to bag yourself some extra Canapes.
What is the easiest way to get to the venues.
The easiest way would be to get a taxi/Uber.
You can always get the bus or park at near by carparks.
The parking around the Church is very limited and often time restricted. The nearest car park is on Chapel lane or the old Assembly rooms car park. Both are a short 5 minute walk from the Church.
Please allow plenty of time, unfortunately we are on a tight schedule and the Church will not allow for any late entries. The Bride will be arriving for 2.55pm for a 3pm Ceremony.
If you're driving over to The Rivermill after the ceremony you're able to use the other loca businesses car parks around darley abbey mills as they're closed on saturdays or you can park in the rubgy club and walk a few minutes to The Rivermill. There are few disabled spaces close to IDZ gym (behind the rivermill). Please enter The Rivermill through the main front entrance, alongside the river.
Is the Wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both the Church and The Rivermill are indoors. The Rivermill has a lovely outdoor riverbank overlooking the river Derwent which we will be able to use if the weather stays dry.. fingers crossed.
What is the dress code?
This is a wedding afterall so we would love to see you in your best formal wear, think 'Summer Romance' but as long as you're feeling your best and you're comfortable, we aren't too fussy. We just kindly ask you don't wear white.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Unfortunatly we're very limited on our guest numbers. We politely ask you not to bring a plus one unless they have been invited.
Please can I bring my children?
We are very sorry, due to guest number restrictions, we are keeping our special day as an adult-only occasion. We kindly ask for no under 18's to attend.
What type of food are we having?
As you'll know we've decided not to have a traditional wedding breakfast. Fear not.. you won't be 'Hangry'. They'll be plenty of food available. We're having Canapes on arrival, Burgers early evening, followed by some late night pizza, midnight snacks and if you're still hungry, they'll be mini tubs of ice cream from our favourite farm, Snugburys.
Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any food allergies or requirements. Please note, we will cater for your requirement.
Will there be an open bar?
We've chosen not to have an open bar instead they'll be a welcome drink for you on arrival. Please be aware The Rivermill is Card only.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding.
We would LOVE for you to take photographs at our wedding and we don't mind you sharing them on social media too but please make sure to tag us in them so we can see.
We do ask you NOT to take any photographs during our ceremony. We have two great photographers who'll capture all those important moments. Thank you for your understanding.
