You could say that our story was love at first sight....well for one of us that is. One Friday night in April of 2022, Elizabeth went to a hockey game with a few of her friends. During the hockey game, the Zamboni driver came out to clean the ice and Elizabeth immediately looked over at her friends and said "he is SO cute!". One of the friends in the group (a former hockey cheerleader who knew the Zamboni driver) responded and asked if Elizabeth wanted to meet him after the game. Tempted to say yes, however, Elizabeth kindly declined the offer.

Fast forward seven months, Elizabeth found the cute Zamboni driver (Matthew) on the dating app Hinge. Eager to strike a conversation, Elizabeth responded to one of his profile statements "first drink is on me, if you can tell me how fast a Zamboni can go". Obviously, with the help from google, Elizabeth was able to guess the correct speed of 9mph. With her "knowledge" about the Zamboni, Elizabeth had captured Matthew's attention at last.

Within the first hour of their conversations, Matthew asked Elizabeth out on a date. Their first date was on November 28th, 2022. Needless to say, we fell for each other instantly and the rest is history :)
