In today’s world, like many couples, we met through a dating app. We found each other on Hinge—Trevor swiped right on Elizabeth’s goofy photo wearing a true “bucket hat”, and Elizabeth swiped right on Trevor’s picture featuring Patrick the Cow.We met in person for the first time on June 3, 2024, for dinner at The 05, Elizabeth’s favorite restaurant in Greenville. The date went so well that we topped off the evening with Trevor’s favorite ice cream from Jeni’s. Although it was a few weeks before we were able to go on a second date, our delightful conversations over text continued, turning into long phone calls and FaceTimes. After our third date—when Trevor was introduced to Millie, Elizabeth’s golden doodle and verified “goodest girl”—they quickly became besties, and there was no looking back.Within a month, we took a trip to Trevor’s friend’s lake house, spending four days with his friends—whom Elizabeth had never met. On the drive to and from Tennessee, we both had a feeling we had found the person we’d been searching for. Date nights became more and more frequent until we were spending as much time together as possible—introducing each other to friends and family, growing more certain this was the real deal, and falling more in love every day.After ten months of spontaneous adventures, puzzle and board game nights, and countless walks around Elizabeth’s neighborhood with Millie, Trevor decided it was time to break his vow of not proposing before at least a year of dating. This love was so true, and Elizabeth so special, that it deserved an exception.That spring, Trevor took Elizabeth on several picnics. One evening, he planned to propose at Clemson, Elizabeth’s alma mater—but she accidentally spoiled the surprise (as she often does) by saying, “Why does it feel like you’re about to propose right now?” Two nights later, on March 25, 2025, Trevor made the biggest and best decision of his life and asked Elizabeth to marry him at her favorite spot on Furman University’s campus. Before the question had even been fully asked, she said yes. He had managed to catch her completely off guard.We are now so excited to get married and celebrate our wedding with all of you!

Laura is Elizabeth’s wonderful sister. Elizabeth and Laura have worked hard to be really good friends as well as sisters. Elizabeth loves going to Texas and working remotely while “living” with Laura and her husband, Andy. They love to have car jams, talk about books, battle it out over putt putt and help each other with crafts.

Emily is Elizabeth’s passionate, fun cousin. They played Webkins and Club Penguin together while talking on the phone while the Gilmer’s lived in the Philippines in order to stay close. Upon returning to the states, the Gilmers moved to Greenville where the four cousins went to church and high school together. They’ve loved growing up so close to each other. They love exploring Disney together, belting show tunes, and watching classic Disney movies together.

Viviane and Elizabeth grew up together and were each other’s first friends. Viviane moved away when they were 6 but they’ve kept in touch over the last 22 years and a combined 11 moves across 8 states. They both love flowers, the movie Love Actually and browsing bookstores.

Bekah and Elizabeth met in college at Clemson RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) a campus ministry they both became involved in. Elizabeth moved to Charleston in 2021 and lived there for a year. Bekah lives in Charleston and they got to explore Charleston and meet many “birb” friends (also known as bird friends) and alligators. They love going on walks, playing board games and trying new restaurants together.

Sarah and Elizabeth also met at Clemson RUF. They also were both marketing majors among a sea of engineers and nurses. After graduating from college Sarah moved to Alexandria, VA for a few months while Elizabeth moved to Maryland. They got to explore DC together a bit. Sarah introduced Elizabeth to Cava which quickly became her favorite place to eat while living in Maryland. They love hiking, exploring new coffee shops and doing all the cozy things together.

Lizzy and Elizabeth met in fifth grade when Elizabeth played soccer for the first time,  right after the Miller family moved to Greenville. She was her first friend in Greenville. They maintained friendship through middle school and were thrilled when they got to go to high school and college together. They both love dogs and animals.

Sully is Trevor’s little sister. She is vivacious, loves to play games with Trevor and Elizabeth. She loves hanging out with Millie (Elizabeth’s dog) and always makes sure to check on Millie.

From childhood neighbors to best friends throughout school, Nate and Trevor were nearly inseparable during highschool. We’ve surely set many unbreakable records on COD Zombies, survived high school, had entirely too much fun together, and become brothers in the process.

Brightin and Trevor met in Trevor’s first class on his first day at Furman. Impressed with each other’s knowledge of SC history we hit it off, later becoming fraternity brothers and attending Clemson University for graduate school at the same time. Brightin is truly a gentleman and a scholar.

Ryan and Trevor met at Furman and became fast friends and fraternity brothers. We’ve survived too many country concerts, boat days, and various other shenanigans together.

Joe and Trevor met through TKE. After many pool days, July 4th, CFP watch parties, and New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Schosky’s house, I began to feel like part of the family. Joe’s generosity, hospitality, and affability have made him a dear friend.

Trevor was Aaron’s freshman year RA, but despite that, they quickly became friends and then fraternity brothers. We’ve spent many good times attending sporting events and weekends at the lake house enjoying life and intense sports debates together.

If being close to the venue is important to you we recommend staying at Hampton Inn Easley. It’s only a few minutes drive from First Baptist Easley and Old Post 1940.    If being close to things to do is important to you we recommend staying in downtown Greenville at either the historic Westin Poinsett Hotel, the beautiful Grand Bohemian Lodge overlooking Falls Park, or the more affordable Courtyard Greenville Downtown. These are all right off Main Street in downtown Greenville and are a short walk to lots of restaurants and Falls Park. All are a little over a 20 minute drive to the venue.

The 05 is one of Elizabeth’s favorite restaurants in Greenville and the location of Trevor and Elizabeths first date. Trevor and Elizabeth love their brussel sprout salad and their hamburgers. It’s a bit small on the inside so if you are going with a group larger than 6 you can make a reservation. They have a sister restaurant called One5 across town which allows for reservations and has more space.

The One5 is the sister restaurant of the 05 and Trevor and Elizabeth like it just as much. Trevor loves their hamburger and Elizabeth loves the salmon brussel sprout salad. This one allows for reservations and is a bit further away from downtown, but the ambiance is very pleasant and the drinks are good.

Elizabeth and Trevor love Sassafras. It’s our favorite place to go when we want to dress up a bit. The pecan crusted rainbow trout is our favorite entree but we have tried most items on the menu and haven't found anything we don't like.

We love going for walks and the Swamp Rabbit Trail in downtown Greenville is one of the best places to go for walks. You can also rent bikes and bike the trail. There are several options for this and some hotels even have bikes you can borrow!

Trevor always has room for ice cream. He loves Jeni’s as they have great fruit flavors. During our first date we extended our time together by going to this Jeni’s.

Takeoff Mini Golf is a Miller family favorite. Elizabeth’s family is wildly competitive and really enjoys playing mini golf together. This place is right by the Greenville Airport so you can watch planes land and take off while putting. You can even get a free game if you hit the last hole in one. Just ask Laura (Elizabeth’s sister) and Andy (Elizabeth’s brother-in-law) about this!

The Silos have lots of options of places to eat and a few breweries. It doesn’t have a ton of indoor seating so be sure to check the weather and bring a coat! Trevor likes Inky’s Philly Cheesesteaks.

Trevor loves lasagna and compares most lasagnas to the one he grew up getting at Capri’s. It is a Woods and Bowie family favorite. Trevor loves to go here with Bibi.

Another Woods family favorite. This pizza place has great pizza and great ranch. Trevor likes the King Julius pie the best! The Woods family loves the garlic knots here.

The Old Post is a beautiful coffee shop in downtown Easley that serves all organic products. Elizabeth loves coffee and thinks this is a really good option.

This is Elizabeth’s favorite coffee shop in Greenville. The aesthetic is fun and earthy but their coffee, especially lavendar latte, is also delicious. It’s only a short drive from downtown Greenville. 

Village Grind

Even if you aren’t from Greenville, you’ve probably seen a Methodical bag of coffee. They have become nationally known and are from Greenville! Elizabeth highly recommends getting a pour over or drip coffee if you decide to come here. It’s on Main Street in downtown Greenville and a short walk from all the recommended hotels.
