Liz and Colt's love story is one that follows God's perfect timing and truly captivates the invisible string theory. In 2019, Colt moved back home to Cincinnati to begin his career as a Marketing Representative and happened to buy a condo just minutes away from Liz's childhood home.

Colt first saw Liz at the gym and was immediately drawn to her. However, it wasn’t until he unknowingly came into Liz's waitressing job at Snow’s Lakeside Tavern that he made a move. He sat at the bar and noticed that she was this beautiful girl that he had seen at the gym. Unfortunately, Liz was working a private party and did not have time to chat. So before Colt left for the night, he gave the bartender his business card to pass along to her.

The pair messaged back and forth for a bit, but ended up falling out of touch due to them being in different phases of life. Unknowingly, God was giving them both a small glimpse into the plan He had ahead for them.

Over the next few years, Liz and Colt continued to work hard to reach their goals as individuals. They ran into each other now and then, but nothing ever stuck.

However, in the summer of 2022 God's timing fell perfectly into place. One rainy Friday night, Colt came into Snow’s Lake Side Tavern with a group of friends to celebrate a promotion and the recent purchase of his new home. As him and his friends walked from his condo to the restaurant, he jokingly told the story of how he had left his business card for a pretty blonde waitress years ago.

When Colt and his friends walked in, they chose to sit at the bar. However, Colt suggested that they move to a nearby hightop so they had more space. Coincidentally, Colt had moved the group to Liz's serving section.

Liz and Colt obviously both recognized each other right away. However, they decided to play it casual. Colt’s friend, Dustin was unaware that the pair already knew each other. Yet, he took it upon himself to play matchmaker. Dustin started showing Liz Colt's football pictures from Virginia Tech and bragging about all of his accomplishments. By the end of the night, Colt successfully got Liz's number.

As the group got ready to head off to the casino, they rushed to close out their tabs. Moving too quickly Liz made a mistake- she accidentally charged Colt's card twice. Later that night, Colt texted Liz laughing about the incident. Colt's proposal was to go on a date to make it up to him.

Liz and Colt then had their first date at Cozy's Cafe and quickly realized that they were meant for each other. They integrated into each other's lives and eventually started to become one. They got their sweet puppy Feta and moved in together all before getting engaged on July 3rd, 2024 on the rooftop of Lytle Park Hotel.

Liz and Colt feel blessed in the way that God's plan unfolded and cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with family and friends!
