I had just returned from doing my Master's in Ireland, and Evan and I began to spend time together. Meetings at the mall, walks on the bike path, late nights watching anime together, meeting each other's friends and family.
I didn't fall into love with Evan; it grew on a straight and logical course that grew from seedling to tree very rapidly.
I had returned from my adventures in Europe with the feeling that I was solid, confident in myself and the direction of my life more than I ever had been.
I had a frank chat with the Universe where I informed the powers that be that if they wanted to put someone in my path, they were welcome to do so, but I would no longer be seeking to gain any of my strength, confidence or general meter of happiness and fullfillment from another person.
I let go of everything that was holding me back from the right person and less than a month later, I had found the right person in no uncertain terms.
