Our Wedding

Our love story began on a dock at Lake LBJ near Austin over Memorial weekend 2022.&nbsp;Sparks were flying and we never looked back after that day and now we are getting married!&nbsp;Just kidding, we did meet over Memorial weekend 2022 but talked very little even after our friends (Louis and Ashley) had continued to hint that we should date and get to know each other.&nbsp;We are both very grateful that their persistence continued even after our initial meeting yielded little fruit.&nbsp; 	After Louis and Ashley had returned from their Honeymoon in July 2022, the first thing Louis said to me on the phone was, “Have you thought more about dating Liz?”&nbsp;Although we didn’t live in the same city, and I didn’t know her very well, I finally decided to take them up on their persistence and Elizabeth and I met up for the first time in August 2022.&nbsp;The date was in Houston during a weekend set up with friends while also having some one-on-one date time.&nbsp;Although the Denver to Dallas dilemma added a challenge, I got her number and hoped that the weekend was enough to convince her, as I was very convinced myself.&nbsp; 	I called her several days after the date just hoping she’d give me a shot at continuing to talk.&nbsp;Assuming the call would last 30 minutes at the most, we talked for over three hours, belly-laughing for half of it.&nbsp;We started to see that something was a little different this time. After making a habit of four-hour phone calls, we had our first date weekend together in Dallas without the training wheels of our friends that set us up.&nbsp;We clearly didn’t need them as our first date in Dallas seemed so natural and a continuation of the multiple long phone conversations we would have at night (just kidding Louis and Ashley continued to be very supportive throughout the relationship and we owe a lot to them).&nbsp;After that weekend, we made our relationship official and started seeing each other often. Our affection grew through FaceTime and through our few days every two weeks of cramming in multiple dates.&nbsp;It was not ideal, but when you know you know.&nbsp; 	On April 22, 2023, we decided to cement our love by getting engaged after I got down on a knee at White Rock Lake in Dallas.&nbsp;A few short weeks later, our long-distance relationship mercifully came to a close when Elizabeth moved to Denver.&nbsp;We are very thankful for the Lord’s province in our relationship, and we often point to how he perfectly orchestrated all the steps for us to be together.&nbsp;For that we are grateful and continue to praise him for what He has done.&nbsp;We are excited to take this relationship full circle on November 4th and to create a new covenant together under God in the form of marriage.&nbsp;We can’t wait to see you there!
