We are getting married at Lowndes Grove, a historic home on the Ashley River about 10 minutes from the main downtown area.

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is about 20 minutes to downtown.

Yes. We have two trolleys to provide round trip transportation between the Dewberry Hotel (located at 334 Meeting Street), and Lowndes Grove. The first trolley will leave at 3:45pm and the second trolley will leave at 4:00pm. Even if you are not staying at the Dewberry, we encourage you to take the trolleys provided from the Dewberry to the wedding venue. Trolleys will also be provided to take guests from the wedding venue to the after-party at Parcel 32 (442 King St.). You are responsible for your own transportation to the Welcome Party at High Cotton (199 East Bay St.) on Saturday night AND to get back to your hotel after the after-party on Sunday night.

We will provide transportation for all guests on the day of the wedding. Shuttles will run between the hotel where we have secured a block of rooms, the wedding venue and the after-party. For any other transportation needs during the weekend, Charleston is very walkable and Uber's/rideshares are readily available.

We have secured a small block of rooms at The Dewberry hotel, see "Travel" page for details if you're interested in booking with the room block. However, there are many lovely hotels and home rentals in Charleston and you are welcome to stay wherever is most convenient for you.

The welcome party is at a restaurant in town, so "elevated casual" is preferred. "Festive Formal" is the requested attire for the wedding day.
