Jon and Liz met the same way most couples met during the height of the COVID19 Pandemic, online. Jon and Liz matched on Bumble in September of 2021. After chatting for a few weeks (and Jon accidentally ghosting Liz for a week), they went on their first date on October 28th, 2021. Things progressed from there until December 12th, 2021, when Jon took Liz to see the musical Wicked and ended the night by taking Liz to the emergency room. It was then, at 3am, sitting in a hospital bed that Liz and Jon realized just how much they loved each other. After almost a year of dating they moved in together, and soon after adopted their beloved pup, Daisy Mae. Sometime around their second year anniversary Jon and Liz started talking about marriage. Little did Liz know, Jon had already started the process of getting a ring made for her. Jon had been collaborating with his mom and Liz's mom to plan the perfect proposal, but fate decided to weigh in. On December 31st, 2023, the evening before he was due to pop the question, Jon fell ill and ended up in the emergency room. And again, while sitting in a hospital bed at 3am, Jon told Liz that he loved her, and asked her to marry him.

And she said yes.
