Liz and Mike met in 2019 at a new hire orientation for their current employer, AML RightSource. After both receiving a job offer from the company, they were given the choice of joining one of two orientation groups with different start dates. They both chose the later start date, unknowingly making a life-changing decision!

On the first day of orientation, new hires were told to pick a partner and complete a “get-to-know-you” questionnaire. Liz took notice of a cute, tall, and mysterious man sitting in front of her and worked up the courage to ask him to be her partner. Unfortunately, there was another guy asking Mike to be partners at the same time. Mike, being a generous person, said “oh, it doesn’t matter to me. You two can be partners.” And suddenly, Liz was stuck working with the other person. She was crushed! Once they started at the main office, they just happened to choose work areas right next to one another. Eventually, they began talking and joking with one other, quickly realizing they both have a very similar sense of humor. One day while in training, their instructor misspelled a word mistakingly writing “WANG” on the board causing Liz and Mike to burst out laughing to the point of tears. It’s worth mentioning they were the ONLY two people laughing. At that moment, Liz knew she had to ask him out. She casually asked him to grab a drink… he upped it to dinner, and from that moment on their romance blossomed! Over the five incredible years of their relationship, they’ve shared many memorable moments including an Alaskan cruise, global pandemic, and unexpected long-distance relationship for a month when Mike traveled to India for work.

They are both looking forward to spending a lifetime together, laughing at the same jokes and sharing more unexpected and life-changing moments like the one that brought them together. They are immensely grateful for the support you have shown throughout their lives and will continue to show through this beautiful celebration and union of these two people!
