They met in the summer of 2015 after Alyssa, Alex’s sister and Elizabeth's best friend, helped Elizabeth land a job at the pizza shop that Alex was running at the time.

Even though Alex was technically Elizabeth's boss at Hungry Howie's, they got along like two peas in a pod. Whenever they worked together they talked and laughed so naturally. Elizabeth really liked him, but he didn't seem to pick up on her interest. Alex was drawn to her but didn’t think she’d return the same feelings. Elizabeth even offered to wash Alex's car once in a ridiculous attempt to hang out with him, but he still didn't get the hint! Neither one had the courage to admit their interest first. Then, one night, several of their mutual friends got together, they were both invited, and the rest is history.



For six months, they formed a friendship outside of work and became inseparable. Shortly after New Year's and Elizabeth moving on from Hungry Howie's, he asked her to be his girlfriend.

They got their first dog in 2021, and along with him and their three cats they’ve made their home in Largo. It's been a wild ride for them over the last nine years, with some friends coming and some going, losing loved ones, and going through several different living situations and jobs. They have always been there for each other through the ups and downs and the different phases of life.

In 2022, they welcomed their amazing daughter, Sophia, into the world, and their lives have only been happier for it. Alex started a new career with closet design and carpentry and has been advancing at a steady pace since the beginning. They both have grown and changed so much since they first met each other, but as they continue growing, so does their bond.

The family they're building together is full of kindness, affection, teamwork, and joy. They are finally ready to declare their commitment to one another publicly and to have their love affirmed.
