Heads Up: Local Festival &amp; Possible Detours Our wedding weekend coincides with the&nbsp;Heritage of Flight Festival&nbsp;in downtown New Carlisle. It's a fun annual event, that you could check out if you have extra time, but it may cause&nbsp;road closures or detours&nbsp;near the venue. Please allow extra travel time and check your GPS for the most up-to-date directions. We'll also post any known detours or tips here as the weekend approaches!

Things to Do

On March 29th, Joseph and I met each other online in the midst of Covid. I was finishing my junior year at Saint Mary's College and Joseph was deployed for the Marine Corps in Japan...almost 10,000 miles away! After messaging for about a week, we could tell there was a special connection between us. We started Facetiming everyday and sharing our lives with one another. Many hours were spent talking and getting to know one another. We loved to watch movies together, having movie date nights. A few months had passed, and Joseph had finished his time in the Marine Corps and finally moved back to the states, living in beautiful Tennessee. In August of 2021, after months of only talking via the phone, we finally met in person for the first time. Joseph made the 5 hour drive to harrison, Ohio, just so we could spend 2 hours together--a testament to his strong commitment to our relationship. That visit became the first of many during our three year long distance relationship. There were many difficult "see you soons", but also so many sweet hellos, and it truly taught us that, yes, "distance does make the heart grow fonder." In March, I made the big move to Tennessee and it has been such a great adventure! In August last year, we planned a trip to Gatlinburg to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and Joseph had the best surprise planned. We hiked to the top of the Rainbow Falls Trail, climbed the rocks to get underneath the falls laughed at my obsession with the moss, and the Joseph asked me to be his wife! It was the most perfect day! Fast forward to today...we are so excited for the chapter of our story and cannot wait to celevrate and dance the night away with you on October 4th!
