1 Days To Go!

We want to give an extra big thank you to all of our friends and family travelling for our wedding, especially those making the trek from Alaska! We are thrilled that we get to celebrate our special day with you!

We hope y'all get to enjoy some of the awesome attractions that Birmingham has to offer, many of them being food!

These are many of our favorites, compiled for your convenience, but feel free to explore and try new things!

Things to Do

There are plenty of museums and attractions throughout the greater Birmingham area. The city offers a free art museum, the Civil Rights museum, historical Sloss Furnace and for those traveling with littles, the McWane Science Center is loads of interactive fun! Our city also hosts two beautiful gardens: the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the Aldridge Gardens as well as a phenomenal zoo.

Food and Coffee

If the South is known for anything, it's food. Our favorite barbeque joints include Saw's, Dreamland, Jim 'N Nicks, and Archie's Bar-B-Q.

If you're looking for more soul food, you're going to want Hattie B's, Eugene's Hot Chicken, Niki's West, and Fried Green Tomatoes.

Birmingham's Greek and Mediterranean scene is unbeatable. We are the home of the original Tazikis restaurant. Our other favorites are Costas and Eli's Jerusalem Grill.

The BEST Thai food in town is Pinto Thai, tell them we say hi!

However, if you leave Birmingham without having tasted Saw's Barbeque, you will have missed out. It is by far, the number one thing in Birmingham. (and don't forget to try the white barbeque sauce!)

If you're on the lookout for a good coffee stop, our favorites are all of the O'Henry's, Bullet Coffee, East 59 in Lee Branch, and Church Street Coffee and Books. Each of these have their own charm but Bullet Coffee is for our Northern friends that love their coffee huts ;)
