Our Wedding

When Dennis took a job in Medina, NY, he thought he was making moves in his career. He never expected it would lead to falling in love with the woman he’d marry. Liz always knew she wanted to marry a guy who was interested in agriculture but never thought he’d be from the city. It’s funny how life can bring you the person you least expected but most needed. When Dennis and Liz began dating in 2019, they immediately connected and fell in love. Liz quickly moved into Dennis’ tiny Medina apartment and they purchased their first home shortly after that. The little green house on Elm Street watched their love grow for two years. It was filled with love, laughter, and plenty of Liz’s homemade bread! It was also the place where they brought their second pup, Will, home. Medina turned out to be one of their favorite places, and continues to be to this day. Those days were filled with walks along the canal with the dogos, dinner dates at Mariachi, early morning drives to the Amish Grocery Store and grabbing subs at Champs before watching the sun set over Lake Ontario. In 2021, Liz’s dream home went on the market in her hometown of Elba, NY. Without hesitation, the two acted quickly, purchasing the house and selling their Medina home. They still take the dogs for walks, but now spend time working on their garden, babysitting their nephews and niece, and of course still squeeze in trips to Medina for ice cream dinners at Double Dips. Although Dennis is now a Western New York resident, he still makes the trip home to Dumont when he can. They spend lots of time chatting with family, grabbing a Denaro’s subs and always grab some bagels- which are now a staple in their freezer! Sometimes, they even watch the Buffalo Bills take on a New Jersey football team! Dennis has learned he only has one jersey option to wear. Liz and Dennis are excited to have all their family and friends there to celebrate them get married on September 23, 2023.&nbsp;

A block of rooms has been reserved at Batavia Downs. You can book a room online using the code listed above. If calling to make your reservation, please mention the Schuck wedding in order to receive the group rate. It is a very busy weekend for the Downs, so please try to book your rooms sooner rather than later! If you are having trouble booking a room reach out to us and we will see what we can do! Please note that since hotel check-in is not until 4pm, you'll need to check-in after the wedding. We apologize for the inconvenience.
