Paso Robles is located in the heart of California wine country, so we encourage guests to arrive early or stay an extra day to enjoy the wineries, restaurants, and beautiful Central Coast scenery! Please check out our Things To Do section below.
Most of our guests will be traveling from Orange County. While the drive to Paso Robles isn’t a short one, it is definitely a beautiful one. There are a couple of scenic routes we recommend:
Coastal Route: Take the 5 → 101 → 154 for a scenic coastal drive.
Rolling Hills Route: Take the 5 → 46 for a route filled with farms, vineyards, and rolling hills.
Our wedding venue is located in Templeton, a charming small town in the Paso Robles area. All of the hotels we recommend below are within about 10 minutes of the venue, making it easy to get to and from the celebration.

If you’ll be flying in for the wedding, there are several airport options within driving distance of Paso Robles and Templeton.
Closest Airport:
San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP) – about 30 miles (35–45 minutes) from Paso Robles. This is the closest and most convenient airport, with rental cars available and flights connecting through major hubs like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Seattle.
Other Nearby Airports:
Santa Maria Public Airport (SMX) – about 65 miles (1–1.5 hours) away.
Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) – about 125 miles (2–2.5 hours) away.

Things to Do
Paso Robles holds a special place in our hearts. In February of 2023, we took a spontaneous trip up to the Central Coast and instantly fell in love. The rolling hills, stunning vineyards, charming farm life, and the relaxed atmosphere. From that moment on, we knew it was somewhere meaningful to us, which is why we chose this beautiful region to get married in!
If you are traveling in for the weekend, we highly recommend making the most of your time here. There is so much to explore, and we hope you enjoy experiencing some of the places that made us fall in love with the area! For those arriving on Friday evening, we would love for you to join us for a welcome drink at Club Car Bar, 508 S Main St, Templeton, CA 93465 from 8:00PM-10:00PM. We hope you can make it! Cocktail attire with a western flair. Cowboy boots, hats, and western accessories are welcome, but not required.
If you have extra time, consider stopping in Solvang, a Danish-style town located about an hour away from Paso Robles. From the adorable Hamlet Square, to feeding the ostriches and emus at OstrichLand USA, to the cutest local bakeries, there’s plenty to see. You can also stop for a wine tasting at Rusack Vineyards before continuing your trip north.
In Paso, we recommend stopping by the iconic Firestone Walker Brewing Company (home of the famous 805 beer) for a great local beer. If wine is more your style, Paso Robles has over 200 wineries and tasting rooms, many of which have award-winning wines and beautiful vineyard views. For drinks, consider the rooftop bar at the new Ava Hotel in downtown Paso Robles and enjoy the stunning sunset.
