What will this ceremony be like?
The ceremony will be a Catholic Mass. To their excitement, Charlie and Lizzie will be selecting the music, readings, and presider. The Catholic Mass begins with the Liturgy of the Word (the reading of the Gospel), which is followed by the Liturgy of the Eucharist (the celebration of Holy Communion). Programs to follow along with song and prayer will be provided.
Who can receive Holy Communion?
Only baptized Catholics who 1) have received their first communion, 2) are practicing the faith, and 3) are not aware of having committed mortal (serious) sins since their last confession may receive the Eucharist.
What can I expect out of parking?
Both Sacred Heart and the LiUNA have plentiful parking spots!
Can I bring a date?
If you have been granted a plus one, it will be apparent in your invitation and RSVP. If you feel there has been a mistake, please contact Charlie or Lizzie! : )
Can I bring my kids?
If you received an invitation for them, please bring them!! We have accounted for them in the RSVP process. If you would prefer a date night, you are welcome to leave them at home with a sitter! If they will not be attending, please indicate this on your RSVP so that we may have an accurate head count.
When can I take photos during the ceremony?
Uhhh... Not at all!! Please keep all digital devices put away and phones on silent during the ceremony. We want you all in the moment with us! We promise our photographer will get amazing shots to share with you later. :)
Will we be singing "Piano Man" or "Closing Time" at the end?
We are so glad that you asked! We will be singing NEITHER! We, lovers of the Muppets, have decided that they want the last song at our wedding to be "Rainbow Connection." If you would like to participate and know the words, we encourage you to listen to this masterpiece beforehand.
