Our Wedding

Some people say 2020 was the worst year ever. While there’s truth to that, for us, it was a year filled with God’s kindness and faithfulness. Why? Because in July 2020, we FINALLY met! On October 10th, Corbin asked Elizabeth to be his girlfriend, and that moment started four amazing years of dating.It’s funny to think that we’d been at the same school since 5th grade. Elizabeth always knew who Corbin was, but Corbin didn’t really notice her until he heard she might be interested in him. Usually, when you meet during high school (junior year for Elizabeth and senior year for Corbin), people might say, “It’ll never last.” But here we are, proving that so wrong—and that’s why you’re reading this now!Our first date was at Dairy Queen, and Elizabeth sang Eenie Meenie by Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber to Corbin at the top of her lungs. From that moment, we both had a feeling this was something special. High school gave us so many memories, but college is where our story truly started to take shape.College was such a sweet and transformative time for us. We met some of our best friends and people who influenced, mentored, and encouraged us along the way. It wasn’t always easy, juggling sports (volleyball for Elizabeth, football for Corbin), school, friends, family, and our walk with God. But one thing we’ll forever be grateful for is how our faith in the Lord grew so much during those years.Being part of a local church became central to our lives. It gives us community (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25, Ephesians 4:11-16), accountability (Hebrews 3:12-14, James 5:16, John 13:34), and solid gospel teaching (2 John 1:9-11, Romans 15:20-21). Corbin accepted Christ in Fall 2023 and was baptized this past summer at Southside Baptist Church! Elizabeth accepted Christ as a young girl, but college gave her a group of women who held her accountable, encouraged her in her faith and friends she knew she could do life with. The same was true for Corbin—his college friends helped shape him into the man he is today. The discipleship and love we both received in college through Southside Baptist Church is a gift we’ll always treasure and remember as being a major part of our story.Through it all, we’ve been in awe of how the Lord’s plans have unfolded. Watching Him work in our lives has been incredible, and we’re so thankful you’re here to celebrate the next chapter with us.Marriage is such a beautiful gift from God, a picture of how Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5). We know we’re two imperfect people coming together to reflect that love, and we’re excited to walk this journey as husband and wife. Praise God for His grace, His love, and the gift of salvation through His Son, who knew no sin yet gave His life for us.Thank you for being part of our special day. We are so excited for all the guests to get to step into the building that holds a special place in our heart and meet some of the wonderful people that have been so gracious to us. We’re so thankful for you and can’t wait to celebrate together as our story continues to unfold!
