Our Wedding

The couple’s story goes back to August of 2017 at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut… Elizabeth and Matt met during the annual training week of the Student Ambassador Program at SHU when she was going into her Junior Year, and he was going into his Senior Year. Elizabeth was assigned to Matt’s group of thirty or so ambassadors, where he was one of the Advisory Team Leaders in the program. After about a week of training, the two of them really seemed to hit it off, as they began talking outside of their scheduled ambassador training times… Fast forward a few weeks into the school year, Elizabeth and Matt were falling for each other and made their relationship official on September 26th, 2017. From late- night ice cream runs to Main Street Creamery, chicken caesar wraps at Galaxy Diner or simply spending quality time with each other at Bearpaw or Frenchtown, the two of them were becoming inseparable.&nbsp;These moments are just a few of the many memorable times the couple had at the beginning stages of their relationship, but they all built up to the moment they realized that they were in love. Elizabeth and Matt have shared countless memories over the last seven years of their relationship. The many trips Matt took to Cameo Drive in Massapequa to hang out with the Venezia family, Elizabeth’s trips to Maple Street in Darien to spend time with the Plank family, because family has always been a huge part of each of their lives. Elizabeth and Matt are extremely grateful for each other, but especially grateful to the ones responsible for turning them into the people they are today, their parents. The guidance provided for Elizabeth in Frank and Laura, and the guidance provided for Matt in Scott and Colleen, have given the couple the utmost confidence in the world that they will be successful in marriage and raising a family. There are so many people to thank for where Elizabeth and Matt are today and so many people that care for the couple. Both Elizabeth and Matt are looking forward to continuing this journey in life together alongside the people who mean the most to them. We are all patiently waiting for the day Elizabeth and Matt tie the knot, so we can all celebrate this milestone in their lives. September 26th, 2025 can’t come soon enough as we celebrate the eight-year mark of their relationship and the first as the Planks! We are excited to announce that we have chosen the Montauk Manor to be our "home base" for our Wedding.&nbsp;&nbsp;We will be coordinating and providing transportation for the Wedding Reception and throughout the evening. **We will not have transportation to the Wedding Ceremony at St. Therese of Lisieux. There is parking available.** **There will be shuttle service from the Montauk Manor to 360 East for the Cocktail Hour/Reception. Shuttles will be running throughout the duration of the Reception and at the conclusion of the Reception and After Party back to the Montuak Manor.** The Manor contains 140 condominium apartments, a magnificent outdoor swimming pool, a private health club and three tennis courts. Complete hotel services are available, and all residents may enjoy the deluxe service which for so long had been the trademark of Montauk Manor.

By Car:• From New York City: Take the Long Island Expressway (495) East to Exit 70 for Manorville Road. Located on the tip of Long Island, the oldest lighthouse in New York State offers a museum, gift shop, and tours. The Montauk Point&nbsp;Lighthouse, commissioned by President George Washington in 1792, is one of the best-known and most-beloved icons of Long Island. It was the first lighthouse to be built in New York, and is the fourth-oldest working lighthouse in the nation. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 2012, one of only 12 lighthouses to be so honored.
