During Elizabeth’s junior year at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee she had moved in with new roommates- one of which was a high school friend of Reighly's, Gracie. Reighly, who was living in Sheboygan at the time, frequently visited Milwaukee with their high school friend group or his Sheboygan roommates. Reighly and Elizabeth had met in passing a handful of times, enough for Elizabeth to think he’s cute and for them to chat in the morning over her kitchen table while he worked. This occurred over a couple of months, leading to Elizabeth sharing her feelings for Reighly to Gracie. Over the holidays when Reighly, Gracie, and all of their friends had gotten together for New Years, Elizabeth’s feelings for Reighly were shared, and his own feelings for Elizabeth were also revealed. The next day Reighly asked Elizabeth out for their first date. After a couple months of seeing each other on and off, Elizabeth and Reighly settled down with one goal for their relationship, dating for marriage. When graduation time approached for Elizabeth they decided to take the next step and move in together. When they renewed their lease after that first year, indicating that living together was successful and they wanted to keep doing it, they started talking more seriously about marriage. October of that year, 2024, they went ring shopping and adopted their dog, May, marking the start of their family, and lives together. A month later on November 23, 2024 they were engaged. Reighly proposed in their home in front of their Christmas tree (Elizabeth can’t help but set it up early) and they were so excited to share the news with their families that holiday season. They are more in love than ever and are so thankful for their family and friends for being part of their journey together.
