Our Story

Abram and Liz met shortly after Abram graduated from Creekview High School. The two met through mutual friends and spent the entire summer of 2018 becoming friends before Liz told Abram that she liked him. Three days after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend, Abram left to go to college while Liz started her senior year at Creekview. Abram surprised her on multiple occasions by showing up to watch her cheer at Creekview football games, and the two even got the chance to attend Liz’s senior prom at the Georgia Aquarium together. Liz graduated in May of 2019, and the two got to spend the summer together before Liz moved to Birmingham to begin school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The two became closer as they went through college, Liz coming home to GA to see Abram, and Abram driving to Birmingham to spend weekends with Liz. Then, in December of 2022, Abram graduated from Kennesaw State University with a mechanical engineering degree, and began a job with Cleveland Electrical in January of 2023. Liz was still in the thick of nursing school but graduated in May of 2023. Liz moved back home and the two moved in together. Liz also started her job as a cardiac ICU nurse at Emory University Hospital. They have two dogs that Liz got while she was in college, Koda (in 2020), and Luna (in 2022). By July of 2024, the two will have been together for six years, five of which were spent long distance!

The Engagement

Liz came home for spring break in March 2023. They had discussed marriage for a long time but wanted to wait until both had graduated from college. Abram had been planning the proposal and had everything set up. Liz and Abram went to Old Mill Park on Saturday, March 11 where Abram had asked Liz’s mom to set up the decorations that he had chosen for the proposal. When the two arrived, they walked down to a beautiful alcove overlooking the rope bridge and flowing river underneath. Abram had set up balloons, flower petals, and a banner that said, “Will you marry me?”. Liz, obviously, said yes! It was such an emotional and special day for the two. The two are beyond excited for their wedding in May, and cannot wait to see you there.
