Please wear clothes! Having said that— coolest shoes win!
May I bring a guest?
While we would love to have everyone join us, we are unfortunately working with an extremely limited venue size and ask that you not bring a guest who isn’t listed on your RSVP. Guests will also be let into the park based on RSVP status, so please make sure you have RSVP’d by April 13th.
Will dinner be provided?
Yes! We will have dinner and dessert following the ceremony inside the venue.
Where is Mack Dick Pavilion located?
Mack Dick Pavilion is located inside Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Once you check in at the gate, you will drive about a half mile down into the canyon, and the building will be on your left with a large parking lot in front of it. Feel free to reference the map below. Please note that it will take an additional 20-30 minutes to get into the park and down to the pavilion, so be sure to consider this in your drive time!
How long is the drive to Palo Duro?
We’re glad you asked! If you are a part of our Lubbock family, it is about a two hour drive. To account for wait times when entering the park, please consider leaving at least two and a half hours early. If you are a part of our Amarillo family, it is about a thirty minute drive. To account for wait times when entering the park, please consider leaving at least an hour early. If you are joining us from somewhere beyond the panhandle, we encourage you to reference Google Maps and add, you guessed it, thirty minutes to that time!
Will we need to hike to get to the venue?
We are happy to report that the venue is right next to the parking lot, so unless you would like to stay an extra day to hit the trails, there is no risk of a surprise hike upon arrival.
What will the weather be like?
Right now the weather is looking rather warm- around 95°. Please be sure to drink water and feel free to bring a fan! We will be outside for the ceremony and move inside for the reception.
Will we be allowed to take photos during the wedding?
During the reception, absolutely! And please send them to us! We want to see the day through your eyes and are thankful to have such encouraging and supportive community. We do ask though that during the ceremony you leave phones in your pocket or purse to truly enjoy the moment with us. We have a wonderful photographer who will be documenting this portion of the day, and we will be happy to share her professional photos with you after the event!
