JT and I met junior year of college, though it took a little persistence on JT’s part—he asked me out a few times, and I said no (multiple times). But as luck would have it, we kept crossing paths through greek life functions and mutual friends. Slowly but surely, we got to know each other, and something just started to feel right. It was during a Phi Delta Theta formal in New Orleans that everything really came together. What began as a fun weekend away turned into the beginning of us, and we have been by each other’s side ever since. Over the years, we’ve grown together, laughed a lot, and made more memories than we can count. JT was ready to propose a while ago, but I had one rule—no ring until after I finished grad school. He waited patiently, and just a few days after I finished student teaching, he asked. This time, I said “yes” right away. Now, we are so excited to celebrate the next chapter surrounded by the people we love most.

Things to Do

What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear dark colored suits and tie or tuxedos, and ladies, please wear floor length dresses or evening gowns.

Can I bring my children to your wedding?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with a small family exception. We hope you’ll enjoy a night off to relax and celebrate with us!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors at The Mayo Hotel.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15–20 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure everyone is seated and ready for the celebration to start on time.

Where should I park?

Complimentary valet parking will be available at The Mayo Hotel. Please mention the Brandt + Chastain Wedding upon arrival.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so our professional photographer can capture each moment without distraction. We'll be sharing those photos with you afterward!

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Yes! We have a room block reserved at The Mayo Hotel. Please see our Travel page for booking details. Additional nearby options, like the Aloft Hotel located just down the street, are also available.
