We met in 2010 shortly after Devin moved to Orange County from Fresno. We started attending the same church and it was pretty much "crush at first sight" for both of us. The next few years were pretty much filled with awkward glances from across the room and constantly thinking about each other but never plucking up the courage to talk.

In 5th grade, we began attending the same charter school and had our first ever photo taken together! Our assignment in class was to build a card tower. We were paired up together, along with our friend Carson (who has remained a close friend and is one of Devin's groomsmen!), however, Carson pretty much build the entire tower himself due to the fact that both of our hands were way too shakey due to the nervousness of sitting that close to our crush.

In 8th grade, we started going to the same school again and with encouragement from some of our classmates, Devin finally announced to Ella that he liked her! Though we were not allowed to date, we became an official "thing" and became pretty much inseparable at church and school (tho do not be deceived we were still unbearably awkward as seen above in our 8th-grade graduation photo).

During our sophomore year, Ella and Devin went on a mission trip to Haiti together. At the end of a crazy and wonderful week, Devin told Ella that he loved her for the very first time. A feeling that was definitely reciprocated.

Our parents said that we could officially start dating our junior year. Devin wasted no time and asked Ella to be his girlfriend when they were out to dinner with their friends celebrating the last day of 10th grade ! (he wrote out the question "will you be my girlfriend?" on 22 individual cards for Ella to open which took much longer than he had anticipated)

Spent many weeks at camps together, which are memories we will never forget !

After high school, we both headed off to GCU in Pheonix, Arizona for college !! Those next four years were filled with some of the worst and best moments of our lives, but thankfully we got to go through every step of it together.

In the second week of college, Ella got a turtle! (a very impulse buy that we will now have for the next 100 years) June is very excited to be gaining Devin as a stepdad :p

We spent a lot of time on the I-10 driving back and forth from Arizona to California over the last four years. Though Ella was usually car sick for most of the ride, those drives ended up being some of our favorite memories together. We made lots of fun stops including seeing some dinosaurs !!

We had lots of adventures together in college, including many trips to the Grand Canyon and Sedona !!

HE PROPOSED !! Devin planned the most beautiful proposal on our 5-year anniversary. We have spent every anniversary together at Laguna beach, which made it the most perfect and romantic spot for us to get engaged. Ella was completely surprised, which was something she didn't think would be possible since she has been waiting for this proposal since 3rd grade :p

Now we are eagerly awaiting the day we finally get to say "I do!" We cannot wait for a lifetime of adventures and memories together.
