So, let’s talk about David Ardrey the man that changed my life forever. The funny thing is I had always known who David Ardrey was because we had mutual connections like church friends and soccer. While at Georgia Southern, I would see him around and we would casually acknowledge each other because we knew we somehow knew each other and we were just being courteous. There was one night in Statesboro that we ran into each other and he was with a mutual friend, so there was no reason not to have a conversation with this guy, David. Since that night we have never been a part. After spending every day together since that fateful night, we attended a sorority event together and I knew that night that this guy was going to be the love of my life. We started dating that next week and he has been the biggest blessing in my life. So, basically, we had a long conversation on October 25th and started dating on November 9, 2019. Since then, we have been inseparable and have had the best memories together. He is my absolute bestie and I can’t imagine doing life without him. I personally think David is the funniest person ever and his gentle, sweet spirit just makes life better. I have always prayed to God for my future husband and I was faithful to knowing that God would be the provider of the man that I was to marry. I just knew that one day God would provide me with man who would love me the way I was intended to be loved. David loves me despite my flaws and somehow finds a way to make even my most annoying flaws endearing. We love to do everything and anything together there is no one I’d rather start a new hobby with, try a new restaurant, dive into a new bible study with or start a new tv series with more than my sweet David. We thank God for His perfect plan that led us to be together. David and I are excited that we get to join in the covenant of marriage on July 15th, 2023. We greatly appreciate everyone’s support throughout the years of our dating and ask for prayers that will support beautiful marriage.

Our Story 

Abbey has the most genuine heart I have ever met. She is not only my cousin, but also my BFF. The blessing of friendship in a family member is just a beautiful thing. She has been my travel buddy, jamming out to Taylor swift buddy, and beach buddy! As we have both grown in our faith, it has deepened our relationship in way that only our Lord and Savior can provide. One of the best things about Abbey is her kind spirit. She makes everyone feel welcome, no matter who it is because she seriously is the sweetest person ever. I am forever grateful for our friendship. I could go on and on about how much I love this girl, but it would literally be a five-page essay. She has always been there for me, which is why I will have her by my side as my Maid of Honor.

Emma Claire is my first sister (and is Griffin’s wifey). Her heart is full of the Holy Spirit and you can feel it when she walks into a room. She has a special gift that instantly makes people feel super comfortable around her. Her walk with the Lord is such an impact on everyone she knows. I truly believe that I am a better person today because of our friendship. She has filled my life with so many blessings, and has taught me so much about the Lord, fashion, and decorating. I am so thankful to have her to look up to as my big sister.

Emma Claire 

Kaylee is my little brother John Coleman’s girlfriend of seven years. I have known her since she was 13 years old and now she is 20 years old. It has been such a blessing watching Kaylee grow up. She truly has become such a beautiful woman who is deeply loved by all the Hansen’s. Kaylee is always there to lend a helping hand and she has the kindest heart. Her sweet, calm personality is a gift to those who are in her life. Kaylee is one of those people that love so hard and this unwavering love is seriously something to admire. I know that Kaylee is that person that brightens the life of anyone who has the blessing of knowing and loving her because she certainly has made my life brighter.

I met Maggie my freshman year in college and knew that we would be great friends from the start. In typical Maggie fashion, she walked up to me, a stranger at the time, and just literally asked to be friends. I will be forever grateful that she made the decision to choose me as a friend. We have spent countless nights laughing and crying together and have experienced the blessings of our faith and friendship. She has the perfect combination of sweet and spunky making it easy to be best friends. She is precious and a true friend and the depth of our relationship has proven that this will be a forever friendship. I love that we can grow separately without growing apart.

Maggie 

I met AG at Georgia Southern, she was the first friend that I made Bid-Day for Alpha Delta Pi. The moment we met I knew I had found my college buddy. Her sweet spirit and easy-going disposition made it easy to love her. What I appreciate most about her is her passion to love. She is a steady, loyal daughter, sister and friend. Family is what is most important and that was evident the first few times we hung out. She had my love and friendship from the beginning. I consider our fate to meet as such a blessing. We are so much alike in the way we view life and what is important. She always knows exactly what to say to me when I am troubled or sad. I have loved going through many important moments of our lives together. She was there the night that David and I met, and she has loved us both unconditionally. Her respect and love for David was just one of the reasons I fell in love with him. 

Anna Grace

Shelly was best friends with AG in high school and they came to GSU together. AG and Shelly were the perfect package and an absolute gift to me. I went to Southern without any close friends and when Anna Grace introduced me to Shelly, she treated me like a best friend from the get go. I remember thinking wow this is one awesome girl. As they say, she is not only beautiful on the outside, but very much on the inside too. She is so talented and creative and I admire that about her because I certainly am not. She is always learning new and exciting things and trying to better herself, which I think is absolutely amazing. She is the type of person that is always positive and makes others feel at ease when she is around.  I treasure the years that we lived together and all the memories we made. Knowing and loving Shelly just makes life better.

I met Riley in dental hygiene school and the first time we spoke I knew right then I had found another amazing friend. The moment we met she was so kind and genuine. I admire her caring and thoughtful personality. It was easy to lover her and I am lucky to know her because I know that I always have someone watching out for me. She is like a mother hen always checking to see that everyone is good and happy. I love that about her. She helps to keep me accountable in our hygiene program and for that I am very thankful. Everyone needs that friend that keeps you focused on what we want out of life even when it is hard. She is my forever cheerleader and I know that in the future we will always be there for one another. 

Riley 

Haley is another friend that I met in hygiene school. I met her, Cheyenne and Riley in the elevator a couple months into the school year. As soon as I met Haley, I knew that she would be the type of person that would always have my back. She has that fighting spirit that everyone needs in their life to make it through the hard times and celebrate the good times. Her intensity for life makes her the perfect friend for all parts of this wonderful and sometime difficult life that God has blessed us with. I admire her outgoing spirit and am grateful for every moment we have spent together these last two years.  Her sassy humor makes those bad days at school tolerable. She can always find a way to make me laugh and her commitment to our friendship just makes every day better.

Cheyenne is one of those people that is always willing to help. She is smart and practical just knowing her has made my life easier. She is that go to friend that will help you out no matter what. My mom has a best friend like that and I knew the moment I met Cheyenne that I had a friend for life. We are in hygiene school together and I love how she is always looking for a way to help me, Haley, and Riley succeed. She has the biggest heart and I am so thankful that I can be a part of her life. Her generosity is so special and there are times that I feel overwhelmed by her kindness. I feel certain that she makes all those that she loves feel like they are the most important person in her life. What a gift to possess! We both know that I would have never passed making my study models without her staying after school hours to help me! Cheyenne is just one awesome lady!

Emilyn is Abbey’s little sister, and will also be a part of our special day. Emi is sweet, caring, and quite the fashionista; at family reunions, she always has multiple outfit changes with the trendiest clothes. She has grown to be such a beautiful young woman I am so grateful to have her in my life.

Joseph is the second youngest of the Ardrey boys. Joseph and I grew up, sharing the same room which was sometimes a good thing and sometimes a bad thing. We have had long days playing around the house and long nights playing video games. He is someone that I will always look up to as he is one of the hardest working and caring people I’ve ever seen.

Connor is the oldest of the Ardrey boys. He is one of the most lighthearted people to be around and you can always expect a joke or two whenever you are with him he is one of the most genuine people and someone I have always looked up to.

Michael is the second oldest Ardrey boy. He is a very determined person, and when he starts something he wants to finish it. He never gives up. Michael and I were with each other a lot during my high school years as Joseph was in college and Connor was in Philadelphia. I feel that I have picked up a lot from him over the years just from continuing to hang out and also playing soccer.

Griffin is the oldest of the new brothers I will be gaining soon. He is a great role model for me and for anyone that he encounters. Having him as a brother is something I am looking forward to, and can’t wait to have more game nights with him and our friends.

John Coleman is the second youngest of the Hansen family. He reminds me so much of my brother Joseph, as one of the hardest working and caring people I’ve ever met. I look forward to continuing to see what he accomplishes in the future.

Jacob is one of my best friends. It all started when we played soccer together growing up and we have been close ever since. Spending all of high school and college together, Jacob feels like a brother.

Henry is another one of my best friends. Someone you can always rely on and have a laugh with. We also became close through soccer as well but were with each other all the time. Went to high school together and visited him in Virginia as much as I could.
