I was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in Issaquah, Washington. I am the oldest of three, with a younger sister, Grace (20), and a younger brother, William (9).
I attended and graduated from Issaquah High School, where I competed in varsity cross-country and track and field, played cello in the orchestra, and participated in Girl Scouts until my graduation. I spent my free time exploring the outdoors with friends, hiking, and running some more! :)
After graduating high school in 2019, I decided to study at Montana State University's Honors College, and pursued a degree in Spanish Teaching. Before starting school in the fall, I participated in an honors environmental science program which took us all around the state of Montana hiking, canoe camping, and exploring glaciers. This program is one of my fondest memories of college, and really solidified my love for the state of Montana.
During college, I discovered my love for the gym, and it became a part of my daily routine. I enjoyed playing an active role in my university's community, and worked for an immigration lab and our university extension program as a translator/transcriptor, and a summer English immersion program for Hispanic children K-5. I also enjoyed taking a wide variety of classes, from honors virology and engineering, to courses on teaching English as a second language, which inspired my post-grad studies.
After graduating with my BA in Spanish Teaching in 2022, I immediately went into teaching high school Spanish, and studying to obtain a Master's in TESOL (teaching English as a second language). I am now happily teaching both ESL and my personal favorite high school class, AP Spanish, at a local high school with students I adore! In the future, I am hoping to become a language professor, or teach courses for adult English learners (or own a hobby farm...both are good options ;)).
