Ella and Teo matched on the dating app Mutual and started messaging back and forth. Teo was deployed in Afghanistan and Ella was going to school in Idaho.

The next two and a half months were spent FaceTiming and messaging. Teo was very clear that he wasn’t looking for anything but they both enjoyed the company and had fun getting to know each other. Little did Teo know that Ella had ulterior motives.

Teo flew into Utah, coming back from his deployment and Ella drove down from Idaho that day to go on a date with him. They spent the weekend together and made a spontaneous day road trip to Vernal to pick up Tucker!

Little did they know that this would be the first of many weekends spent together.

Ella and Teo officially started dating and despite the 4 hour drive, every weekend was spent together.

Ella and Teo road tripped to Arizona to spend Thanksgiving with a bunch of Teo’s family and friends.

After graduating from BYU-Idaho, Ella finally moved to Utah.

Over the next few months, Ella and Teo continued to go on dates and get to know each other better.

Teo pulled off a surprise proposal on the beach in Hawaii and Ella of course said yes.
