They met in May 2023 at St. Mary's emergency room, OF ALL PLACES! Ella, while working overtime on her day off, brought Tom a combative patient to the ER and it was love at first FIGHT! Tom couldn't get his eyes off of Ella as she gave report, and attitude, to the charge nurse *as one does* and already had her looked up on Facebook long before saying a word to her. Nervously he asked her if she was single and if he could have her phone number. She said "Yes!" and proceeded to accidentally give him an old phone number, which he almost immediately lost, forgetting to save it. Both went their separate ways that evening worrying that they'd never speak to each other again because of their mistakes, but fate had other ideas.

She reached out to her contacts to find him, while he typed a message to her on Facebook. She beat him to the punch and got the first message in. The next night, she nervously invited him to a pool party she was attending, expecting him to turn it down. To Ella's surprise, and slight dismay, Tom drove out that night and they were up all night long talking over the phone after having a great time together at the pool party. Fast-forwarding, a first date became many, feelings turned to love.

The next Fall, Tom proposed to Ella with a pumpkin and a diamond at the Huber's pumpkin patch. Shortly after, they found out they were to be the parents to a sweet baby girl, Miss Chloe Michelle Burns!

With baby on the way we are planning our futures together with our new happy little family and can't wait for all of you to join us in celebrating our marriage and the rest of our lives together. See y'all there!
