Elle and Logan met on November 3, 2022, at Little Apple Bowling Lanes in Manhattan, Kansas. Logan claims he and Elle made eye contact three times before he decided it was safe to approach, though Elle has never been able to recall that; she mostly remembers the kind yet ornery boy from Colorado whom she enjoyed talking to.

Elle was a recent transfer student to Kansas State University, just beginning to attend an on-campus ministry and forming friendships with the wonderful girls in her life group. On this particular night after Christian Challenge, the girls had planned to go bowling with their "brother life group." Elle excitedly met many new people that night, though she didn’t remember many details about most of them—except one: the long, curly-haired boy who, long before he knew how competitive Elle was, had edited her bowling score on the screen to make it look like she had lost.

A few days later, Elle received a message on her phone from Logan, and after three dates, they made it official.

Since then, Elle and Logan have spent their time together exploring national parks, hiking a 14er in Colorado that nearly killed them both, discovering new coffee shops and diners for dates, taking long walks, stargazing at Tuttle Creek Lake, cooking together, slow-dancing to oldies, and planning a future side by side.

Elle and Logan have dedicated themselves and their marriage to God, knowing that He divinely crossed their paths that night at the bowling alley. They are endlessly grateful to their friends and family who, in faith in Christ, have encouraged them in this relationship and soon-to-be marriage.
