Elle and Nathan met back on the summer of 2015 at a leadership conference in Oneonta, NY. There was hundreds of students from across NY that were selected for this week long conference. Elle and Nathan got place in the same group. Their first interaction was playing a game of hangman. Throughout that week the came to know each other's stories. After the conference was over they decided to stay in touch, as they had many things in common. A few short months later, they had their first date. Elle had Nathan over to her parents house to make Christmas cookies and watch a movie. Unfortunately, that date got cut short by Nathan's anxious tummy. This did not stop them though. There were many days that they would commute back and forth to each other's houses and race home before curfew. They continued their relationship into the early years of college, where they decided to go separate ways for a while. After finishing undergrad, Elle wanted to go on a solo vacation to a beach. Luckily, Nathan happened to be living in South Carolina at that time. Elle reached out to Nathan in hopes that he would have a good beach recommendation and Nathan replied that she can just come stay the week with him-free housing! So Elle made her first solo trip 12 hours south and reconnected with Nathan after several years. They rekindled their love for each other and before they knew it Elle was applying for jobs and they were apartment hunting. The rest is history.
