There are two major airpots near the island. Houston Hobby is a 45 min drive and is home to Southwest Airlines. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is 1 hr 15 min drive and home to other major airlines.
There are Ubers and taxis on the island, however, sometimes difficult to reserve. We would recommend renting a car.
