Steve and I technically first met back in 2016 at a Halloween party at Drake University, where we discovered we both knew the same person — Sara Donovan (our officiant!). The next day, we each told Sara about meeting the other, and luckily, she had a feeling we’d hit it off. She set up a dinner for us to officially meet, and from that night on (Ellen’s sophomore year, Steve’s junior year), we were part of the same friend group, making tons of fun memories together.

After more than three years of friendship, we finally started dating in 2019. Fast forward a few years, and here we are!
