Truett McConnell University is where it all began. Ellie was a sophomore on the softball team and Eli was a freshman on the golf team. Eli had friends that had told him about Ellie and it wasn't long before they found themselves at the same volleyball event. It was after a lengthy softball practice, Ellie was showered, with wet hair and wearing lounge clothes. Eli just happened to notice that laid back, simple girl and decided to send her a message. It wasn’t long after that they were communicating through text messages, social media, and that led to Eli asking her out for a casual date. Of course, Ellie said yes, and then Eli likes to think he played hard to get. That didn’t last long. Eli eventually asked for a second date and the rest is history. Together they enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing golf, fishing and shopping.
