Riley and Ellie met in the fourth grade at taekwondo class at Indiana Taekwondo Academy in Noblesville, IN. Through their training and shared love of martial arts they became fast friends. However, it wasn't until their junior year of high school when they both finally worked up the courage to share their feelings towards each and officially start dating in September of 2012.After both graduating and settling into their careers, they decided to take a trip to Iceland to see the northern lights and take in all the sights the land of fire and ice had to offer in April of 2023.On one of their free days they took a day trip from Reykjavík to the Snæfellsjökull National Park where they first stopped the Lóndrangar overlook. As they were walking back to the car from the overlook, Ellie told Riley it was probably her favorite place in the world. They continued through the park, taking in the spectacular views, and climbed to the top of the Saxhóll Crater. Before making their way back back to Reykjavík, Riley stopped at the Lóndrangar overlook and proposed.Ellie and Riley are very excited to share their love and celebrate with their friends and family in May officially tying the knot after eleven years of dating and even more of friendship!
