(As told by Ellie)
When I first laid eyes on David strutting around the gym, I knew he was the one for me. The swaggering confidence of his college sophomore self dueled my sarcastic, man-hating wit in a perfect battle, and I knew I couldn’t be more in love. Turns out he was just what I needed, the perfect mixture of brain rot humor, gentle love, and genuine kindness that slowly healed me and made me happy again. Together we enjoyed lifting, hanging out with friends, a LOT of studying (we studied a lot of Netflix too), and spending time with family. As our relationship neared the one year, we had a rough wedding plan going (complete with lots of Pinterest boards) and were just enjoying our relationship until graduation. Then came Ivy… Suddenly, life was about a lot more than just the two of us and whatever blissful independence we were still enjoying. We had nine months to mature, so with a great desire to learn and grow, we started watching instagram reels on how to keep a baby alive and prayed we’d figure ourselves out. Just joking, at least, that was only part of it. Through a lot of prayer and discussion, we decided to fully commit to each other before bringing a baby into the world, and did a small immediate family wedding on March 15th, 2025. But we both knew we wanted to still celebrate with friends and extended family, which brings us to the vow renewal that this is all for. Everyone invited is precious to us, and we are so excited to have this time to share our love with you in our second wedding!
