When I think about med school, the first image that pops into my mind is Ellie. We awkwardly met on the first day of orientation thanks to our step-dads, and from there it seemed like we spent the rest of med school making questionable life choices together. Whether it was being utterly clueless about HSR assignments, dragging each other to random places instead of studying, and stuffing our faces with new recipes, Ellie was always there for a new adventure. I'm so thankful to have her in my life, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and Eric!

Ellie and I met in medical school, where her adventurous spirit quickly drew me in. Life with Ellie is never boring—we’ve tried every class under the sun, from belly dancing and hip hop in heels to tai chi and Zumba. I was also lucky to enjoy her culinary creations, often made with fresh herbs from her garden. She truly is the most interesting woman on earth, and Eric is incredibly lucky to be marrying her.

I met Ellie a couple months prior to starting residency in New Orleans—not in person, but rather via text, naturally. I would regularly receive flow of consciousness texts about black holes, plants, and baking. Like who skips the small talk with a stranger and dives straight into nihilistic rants about how the world is a black hole? But also who wouldn’t do this— it’s so genuine and unfiltered. That’s how I knew we’d be good friends.  -
Ellie’s authenticity and inherent ability to make you feel unconditionally accepted and loved is what we love about her. We’re beyond excited you’ve found Eric and brought him into our lives as well—y’all are extraordinarily kind while also keeping it real. Congratulations!

Rose and Ellie met for the first time in 2020 while interviewing for their residency program on the same day. Unknowing at that time, they matched into the same program and became psychiatrists together. They bonded over yummy food and venting about work. The rest is history! Rose is very grateful to have made such a good friend in residency and be able to be a part of Ellie's special day!

I met Ellie my first week of medical school. The best thing about her is how bubbly she is all the time. We got along so great because we both love food and Ellie always feeds me. From medical school balls and river views in Australia to Mardi Gras in New Orleans we’ve honestly experienced a lot together. I’m so blessed to have someone so genuine and empathetic with me throughout our medical school journey. I’m excited to be a part of the next chapter in her life!

Closest airports are JFK and LGA. EWR is also nearby and is accessible via public transport. *technically HPN is the closest but with limited flight options.

Flights

The closest train to Whitby Castle is Harrison station on the Metro North Railroad (stamford line). It is 1.1 miles (5 min drive) from Whitby. Metro North can be accessed from the NYC direction from Grand Central Terminal or Harlem 125 St. As Stamford is the last stop, travelers coming from New Haven will have to transfer at Stamford station to get to Harrison.Tickets can be purchased at the station or via an app. Please select "off-peak" for Saturday tickets. Valet parking is available at the Whitby. There's plenty of space!

Shuttle bus is available for transportation between SONESTA HOTEL and WHITBY CASTLE. Please note that bus will leave from SONESTA at 10:45 am in time for ceremony. Bus will leave from WHITBY at 5:00 pm after the wedding.

Plant CareCenterpieces are African VIolets!If you decide to take one, please have it near the window. Plant leaves do not like water! so please water directly on soil, or from the bottom (can set plant pot in a bowl of water for 15 min and remove). The centerpieces come in a self watering pot! please refill to the top of cone (you'll see it if you take the inner pot out.) I was doing it every 4 days or so.
