Ellie and Sean met as many modern couples do: endlessly swiping on Hinge. They met for their first date on Tuesday, August 15 at TimeOut Market after Sean learned that Fool's Errand, the agreed upon date spot, was closed on Tuesdays. She was beautiful, smart, and funny, everything Sean hoped to be himself. The date was off to a good start; they took their drinks to the outdoor patio to talk about themselves when a rat the size of a small dog ran into Ellie's foot. The rat was running at such a speed and the impact was so strong that he bounced off her foot and collided with Sean's. This rat helped break the ice, and from there, the two were inseparable.

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Sean and Ellie went to breakfast in Harvard Square at a so-so coffee shop. They walked through the rain to John F. Kennedy Memorial Park by the Charles River, to a bench where the shared their first kiss. Sean got down on one knee and asked Ellie to marry him.

On July 13, 2025 Sean and Ellie packed up their 500 square-foot apartment and drove to Nashville, Tennessee to start a new chapter together, with their new thirteen-year-old puppy, Cash. We look forward to seeing you all at the wedding!
