In the summer of 2022, Ellie decided to give the online dating world a try. Not long into her experience, she came across a charming guy named Harrison. It might have been the blue eyes, or maybe it was the big adorable dog, but either way he caught Ellie's attention and earned an eager swipe. Cue the electronic confetti... It was an immediate match, which meant Harrison had already done the same!

Shortly after, Harrison sent Ellie a message, and so their conversation began. They got to know each other little by little, and after finding out they had plenty in common, Harrison asked Ellie on a date. On Friday, July 1, 2022, they met for dinner at Cafe Trio on the Plaza. It didn't take long for Harrison to ask Ellie on a second and third date. Their conversations continued to be filled with simplicity and depth, and plenty of laughter, as they spent more time learning about each other, sharing their dreams, and of course getting all their dearest friends' approval. Soon enough, the long-distance goodbyes became harder and harder, and they knew they were happiest when together. They both truly felt that God had answered each of their prayers.

On Saturday, May 27, 2023 Harrison took a surprise detour on the way to Ellie's "birthday dinner," stopping at Sunken Gardens Park in Mission Hills, KS. Upon arriving, they walked hand-in-hand down a staircase into gorgeous green landscape. Harrison led Ellie to his perfectly picked spot next to a small pond, where he got down on one knee, and asked a very important question, "Will you marry me?" It was of course met with an excited and anticipated “Yes!" from Ellie. To top off a beautifully executed proposal, the newly engaged couple got to celebrate with close family and friends that evening. The day couldn't have reflected their love for each other any better.

Harrison and Ellie are looking forward to being in great company on Friday, April 19, 2024 as they walk forward in marriage!
