What is the dress code?
Dress code for the wedding is business casual! Nice jeans are okay - no holes please! The ceremony will be outside on grass, so women may want to avoid pointed heels and opt for a wedge or flat shoe to avoid sinking in the grass.
Is there a hotel block/ where should we stay?
There is not a hotel block however we have provided a list of hotel recommendations. Please see the Travel section for more information!
Are kids allowed?
Yes, children are welcome and are included on your invitation so please let us know in the RSVP if they will be attending with you! We would love to have your entire family join us for the celebration.
What's for dinner?
For dinner we will be having a buffet style BBQ to include pork and chicken, mac-n-cheese, green beans, baked beans, and coleslaw. After all ~ it is the South! If you have any allergies or special food considerations we need to make, please include this in your RSVP or message us so we can best accommodate your needs!
Do we need to bring a gift?
Your attendance at our celebration is your gift to us. Almost all of our guests are traveling to Greenville from out of state and we are so thankful to everyone who makes the journey to be with us.
Are plus ones allowed?
Sure! Just please let us know on your RSVP that you will be coming with another person so we can be sure to include them in our planning with the vendors to have adequate food and space for everyone.
What is the best way to get to the venue?
The venue is about 20 minutes ride from downtown Greenville, and there is plenty of free parking at the site for people who will be driving. Uber, Lyft and carpooling are recommended as we don't want anyone driving after drinking. We recommend scheduling Uber or Lyft in advance so there will be no delay in getting to the venue on time!
What time should we arrive to the venue?
Our ceremony will be starting promptly at 5:00pm. The bridal party will be arriving earlier in the day to get ready there at the venue. We have allotted time for guests to arrive as early as 4:15 and we ask that you please arrive before 4:50 to ensure all guests are seated prior to the start of the ceremony.
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please respond with RSVPs via the link on your invitation by August 1st to allow us time to ensure appropriate guest count for our vendors. If there is more than one guest on your invitation, for example a family, please give us the names and total number of guests we can expect to attend.
What is the best airport to fly into?
If you are planning on flying in to South Carolina, the nearest airport is the Greenville Spartanburg airport (GSP). It is about 25 minutes from downtown Greenville and the other hotels listed under the Travel section. Other alternatives are flying into Atlanta (ATL) or Charlotte (CLT) for about a 1.5-2 hour drive to Greenville.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! There will be an open bar; however, the venue does not allow for liquor to be served such as vodka, tequila, and rum. There will be a selection of beer, wine, cider, and seltzer available. Please be advised the state of SC requires a courtesy officer to be present during the consumption of alcohol at larger events and he will be ensuring appropriate alcohol consumption occurs. We do not have a drink maximum, but guests who appear too intoxicated or have behaviors deemed "unacceptable" by the officer will be asked to leave the event.
Will there be a gap between your ceremony and reception?
Immediately following the ceremony, guests will move inside the barn for drinks and to begin eating dinner while the wedding party finishes with photographs. We anticipate the remaining photos will take about 45 minutes-1 hour while guests dine and mingle. Following photos, the newlyweds and wedding party will join everyone for a night of dancing until 10pm.
What can we do in Greenville while we're in town?
We have added a list of our favorite activities and bars in the area for you to enjoy during your trip to Greenville - see the Travel section of our website. We have also linked a list of delicious brunch spots for Sunday morning before your travels home as well as events happening in the area the weekend of our wedding.
Can I take photos at your wedding and post them on social media ?
Yes! You can take pictures and make social media posts. We do ask that you do not use your phone during the ceremony so our paid photographers can capture the moment and all our guests can be present with us. However, for the remainder of the time, please feel free to use your phone and post as much as you'd like!
