Q + A

Are kids invited?

Due to limited numbers, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named. Your invitation will state your kids name if your children have been invited.

When should I RSVP by?

All RSVPs will be due August 15th, 2024. If no RSVP is received by the due date, you will be marked as unable to attend. We want to be respectful to our vendors and have an accurate final count before the wedding day.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones/devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we’d hate to have a well-meaning person’s phone/device blocking that moment for her to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! We promise to share the ceremony pictures as soon as we get them.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be both held at the Barn at Dunvilla! If the weather is good, the ceremony will take place outside. The cocktail hour and reception will be inside the barn.

How do we get there?

The Barn at Dunvilla is about a 20 minute drive from Detroit Lakes. Everyone is allowed to park at the venue the day of the wedding. However, if you plan to leave your vehicle at the venue overnight, you must pick it up before 11am the next day. We will not be having a shuttle to and from the venue. However, Lift is available in the area. Please plan accordingly to get safely to and from the venue!

Can I bring a guest/date?

If you received a plus one, your guest’s name is listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Is there a dress code?

We’d love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Please just refrain from wearing white or shades of white - let the bride have her day!
