Our story starts back (well...way back) in 2014 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As fate would have it, Ellie and Blake had class together while studying in University. As the year went on, we slowly started to get to know each other but after a few dates, things got serious. Serious enough that Ellie's travel bug found a way to convince Blake that the Yukon seemed like a neat place to live after graduation. Sure enough, the car was packed and 3,500KM later a new chapter began.

Two years in the great white north left many memories that will last a lifetime. After our fill of mountain hikes, hunting and fishing trips, and northern lights experiences, we set our sights back to Kenora, Ontario where we put our roots down. A home to call our own was followed up with a new family member Sadie, our beloved dog. Here, we have spent many days on the lake camping, fishing, swimming, and exploring. Our careers as teachers took off as well; for Ellie in the elementary grades and for Blake in high school.

Trips to visit Ellie's family in London are always eagerly anticipated. Last Christmas, Blake decided to (finally) get on one knee and pop the question to Ellie in Victoria Park on a beautifully lit and brisk night. Ellie's mom Mena was there to snap a few photos and share in the happiness as Ellie said yes!

Our story doesn't end there, however. In many ways, it's just begun. On September 28th, 2023, our son Jason Alexander Lundin was brought into the world. He is our pride and joy. He is a growing, thriving, and happy boy and we are thrilled to have our own little 'plus one' on our magical day.
