The short version that we tell people how we met, is just through mutual friends... but theres a lot more to it than that!

Summer of 2023 Ellie was hanging out with her friend Sophie and a couple other friends she met that year. Ellie went on a double date with one of the guys in that friend group. After finding out that that boy wasnt for her, her friend Dallas had told her to try adding his coworker Evan on snapchat, and as any single young lady would do, she did just that!

Evan didnt add her back until a few days later. He was golfing with the guy Ellie went on the double date with about a month ago. Evan had said to the other guy that a girl named Ellie had added him on snapchat and she invited him over to hangout. The other guy asked Evan if she was a cheerleader and he said yes. The other guy thought that him and Ellie were still talking and got upset that Ellie had added Evan on snapchat even though they werent talking anymore. Evan then decided to not break bro code and unadded Ellie because he didnt know what to believe.


Fast forward to a week or so later... Ellie had just gotten home from a girls trip. She gets a call later that evening from one of her friends telling her that Evan was going over to hangout and that he wanted her to come. Ellie was so confused because she thought that Evan was never going to talk to her again. So Ellie said that she would love to go hangout. She was nervous but excited to meet Evan. She still hadnt talked to him since he unadded her.

She walked into the house and her friend Sophie says, Oh Ellie hes cute... hes soooo your type! So that made Ellie super excited to go downstairs and finally meet him! Ellie got downstairs and saw Evan and immediately thought he was so cute. They made small talk for a little while as they were waiting for everyone else to get there. They put on a movie and Evan moved next to Ellie and put his arm around her. Once the movie ended, Evan pulled out his phone and said, ok I guess ill add you back... and Ellie was so happy she told everyone to clap for Evan because he was finally adding her back.

They went on a double date the next day to watch The Little Mermaid movie. They were up until 3 am that night talking and getting to know each other better. A couple weeks went by and they had been inseparable. Evan was taking Ellie home one night and asked her if she was ready to be in a relationship. Ellie said that she wasnt ready yet and rejected him. Oops. Another week went by and she realized that she actually really liked him and was ready to be in a relationship. The night of the Fourth of July, Ellie told Evan she was ready to be official and he immediately said, does that mean I can call you my girlfriend? And that was the beginning of forever!!

Evan and Ellie got engaged on July 13th 2024!
