What do I need to bring?
- Camping chair
- Towel
- Duvet cover and pillow case (see below q about bedding).
- Closed toe shoes
- Fancy dress costume
- If you are dairy/lactose intolerant bring your own special milk
- If you are a fussy drinker then bring your particular tipple
- If you are splatmaster-ing then bring clothes you don't mind getting paint-y
- Good vibes and a competitive spirit!
Is fancy dress compulsory?
Absolutely yes! We are hoping you will go all out with your costumes and get fully into your characters to make the evening as hilarious as possible.
Do I need to know more about my murder mystery character?
Yes, you will have a full back story (we think) so character packs will be sent out to you individually soon.
What’s the sleeping arrangements?
The olds (excluding you Rosie because you're still 30 something right?) will be in the farmhouse cottage and then there are 3x wood cabins for us ragers! We will have 2x 'Hen houses' and one for the smelly boys. They are proper mattress-ed beds so it should be comfortable for all. Someone will be sharing with Elly, you lucky devil! And someone else will likely have to share with Nick, you poor unfortunate soul!
Can I change my activities?
Yes, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate.
Is it BYOB - Booze?
No, we will have 'stocked the bar' but if there is anything particular you would like to drink then please bring this with you.
Do we need any bedding?
Yes, please bring duvet covers and pillow cases. The actual duvets, pillows, blankets and fitted sheets will be there. We will bring extra spares (Blackburn's we've got you covered for sure! Don't bring bedding from Singapore haha).
What are the toilets like?
No frills - the outdoor loos are just off the kitchen - split male/female. But if you'd like a luxury loo you can pop into the farm house.
Are the showers hot? How many are there?
Yes, the property has its own water supply so we are assured they will be hot! There are 2x showers in the toilet block off the outdoor kitchen - split male/female.
Can I walk to a shop for a paper?
No dad you can't! Please make other arrangements for you to catch up on your paper reading after the STEN, we will be far too busy anyway.
Will there be tea and coffee?
Of course! Can Nick get through 1 hour without tea?! We will have caffeinated and decaf options available. If you want 'special' milk or sweeteners please bring this yourself.
Do I need any specific clothing for the activities?
You will need to have closed toe shoes for some activities and we would recommend you wear something you can easily move in. For Splatmaster you will be given a bib to cover your torso so suggest you wear clothes you don't mind getting paint-y.
Is there a disco and dancing?
No, but we will have music playing so feel free to bust a move.
Is there power/electricy?
There is no electricity in the huts but plenty of sockets in the retreat (outdoor kitchen area).
What is phone signal like?
We are told the phone signal is pretty good on the glamping site.
Is there WIFI?
There is no wifi on the glamping site but there is at the cottage, this is on the same plot approx 2-3min walk away.
Is it easy to find? What are the roads like?
Yes, even Elly managed to follow satnav. Its country roads so a bit wibbly-windy but well sign posted. See location page for more direction details.
When is Elly's mini beer festival happening?
The whole time! Beers will be set up when we arrive and will finish once we've drank them dry.
What is the menu for Sunday lunch?
We will be sending a menu round the week before so we can put in a pre order. They do seasonal weekly menus but of course it will be roast options, veggie included.
Can I do anything to help?
We've asked a few of you to do some additional extra bits but unless we've asked you or you have any particular desire to contribute in any way just turn up and have fun!
I still have a question, what can I do?
Ask us. We are more than happy to talk you though anything you're unsure of or find the answer if we don't know.
Why does it say date to be announced?
We are going to be using the same website for our actual wedding, different design, but when creating it we had to put the wedding date so now it adds a countdown to 24th July 2026 which we cant remove. Hey it was free!
