Airport Transportation

LIGHT RAIL TRAIN - Airport to Downtown Minneapolis

The light rail is a cheap and convenient option for those who prefer public transport!

From MSP airport, take the Metro Blue Line train to the Target Field stop and you'll be a few short blocks away from either of our recommended hotels.

Uber & Lyft are also widely available!

Neighborhoods to explore

North Loop

The North Loop is where our hotels are located - and is one of our favorite neighborhoods in Minneapolis! Full of restaurants, bars, and unique local shops, there is plenty to explore. Walk down towards West River Parkway to access the Mississippi Walking Trail - the river is beautiful in the summertime!

St Anthony Main

From Downtown Minneapolis, walk across the Hennepin Avenue bridge to Nicollet Island Park & Pavilion. Then, continue on Hennepin Avenue to check out vintage shops Olio and The Golden Pearl - or turn right on Main Street for quaint cobblestone streets & views of the Minneapolis Skyline. Continue down Main Street to the iconic Stone Arch Bridge. You can go back the way you came, or cross the bridge and see Gold Medal Park and The Guthrie Theatre - go inside and upstairs to check out the endless bridge.

Uptown & The Lakes

If you have a few hours to spare, head over to Uptown for lively streets, shopping, restaurants, and a walk around the lake! Lake Street, Lyndale Avenue, and Hennepin Avenue are the most poppin'.

We highly recommend Moto-i for ramen, LynLake Brewery for a great rooftop, Corner Store Vintage for fun finds, and Magers & Quinn Booksellers for an extensive collection of new and used books.

For a classic MN lake day, head over to Bde Maka Ska for nice beaches and a 3-mile walking loop.

Happy traveling!
