Elsie and Nick were introduced to each other by Edith and Tony Gonsalez. Elsie was hesitant at first due to the age gap, and being opposites. Nick and Elsie had talked for a little over a week before going on their first date/late drink at the Green Mill. Once they had their first trip during the family 4th of July weekend of 2019, Nick was introduced to the whole family. This is when they became inseparable.

Then the pandemic hit. They chose to quarantine together. During this time they were able to really get to know each other. What they learned was how they both are family oriented, and Elsie fell in love with his family first. After that, everything just came together naturally.

Then, Elsie experienced her worst nightmare. She lost her beloved son, Ryan. Nick was there for Elsie when she was at her worst, all while still in the pandemic. Nick lifted her up and helped her bounce back. He didn't run away, he stayed through this. Nick's pup, Motley, never left her side after Ryan's funeral for 3 days, and Elsie fell in love with him as well. Nick and Tyson are a package deal, and Elsie is grateful to have Tyson as a bonus son.

Nick and Elsie live life, have fun and have created a family together by adding Zeppelin to the mix. If they were able to get through the pandemic and the great loss of Ryan, they can get through anything... they wouldn't want to quarantine with anyone else.
